Answer:	There are two trimmer combs. One has a 1/4 inch (6mm) wide cutting surface, and the second one has a 1-3/8 inch (3.5 cm) cutting surface. The actual width of both combs is slightly wider, but those are the actual cutting widths. Hope that helps.
Question:	what is a detailing blade
Answer:	No. It will not operate with the charger cord connected, whether the charger is connected to power or not. It is designed not to work with anything connected to the charging port. The trimmer comes with a "travel plug" that is a small piece of plastic that can be plugged into the charging connector that will keep the trimmer from being turned on accidentally during travel.I've had my trimmer for about 3 months. I use it a couple times a week for a couple minutes. I have not had to recharge it since the initial charge I gave it when I bought it.

Answer:	You can change the length of the cut based on the direction you use it. If you go with the hair grain, it will leave the length a bit longer than when you go against it. There is very little difference between using the #1 with the grain of the hair and the #2 going against the grain.

Answer:	Mine won't turn on most of the time. I keep trying over a day or so and suddenly it's on and I can use it. What's the point of paying to send it back to the USA from NZ when the risk is I'll get as a replacement one of the ones that don't turn off. The paperweight comment sums it up. There are far too many faulty ones out there just from the complaints on this site alone. In the 21C you expect nearly all examples of a product to work faultlessly and they do. But not this product.

Answer:	Well my British friend, unfortunately, this particular machine is not quite as versatile as your old British-made Trimmer. However, it does do a bang-up job when it comes to edging and trimming your good-old-fashioned American grass. Answer:	Hi, I've had my shaver since Xmas 2015, and haven't yet given changing the foil or cutter a thought. Wahl states, replace every 6-12 months(usage and beard toughness dependent), personally, I will change mine when I feel the shaver is struggling or starting to pull on my beard, always remember to be gentle when using the shaver, as the foil is fragile, and only cuts hair that is shorter than 1/32", basically a day or two' beard growth, you'll learn to judge, plus I clean the shaver and foil after every use. The shaver foil and cutters longevity is down to how it's used and maintained by the user. I hope this helps

Answer:	I totally agree because it’s cheaper to buy a new razor than replace the parts!! I did find out using it as a wet razor it has lasted much longer

Answer:	To put things into perspective, the foil replacement kit for the Panasonic Arc 5 costs $70; approximately 50% the cost of the shaver. Of course, this Wahl replacement is more like 60% the cost of the shaver, but that brings us into the topic of 'supply and demand' and other aspects of advanced economics. While I am in no way defending this practice, it is also in no way unique to this razor, or even to the electric razor industry. - There are several lines of printers for which the replacement ink cartridges cost much more than the original printer. - The soda (pop, cola, coke, whatever you call it) served in most restaurants has between 3000-4000% markup. - Ever notice the prices for food in a movie theater or theme park? In short, this is how many industries make their profits. We can argue all we want about how much profit is enough profit (or too much profit), but the fact remains that economics is a complicated balance of worth vs perceived value. The important thing to remember is that the initial cost of an electric razor is a drop in the bucket compared with the ensuing maintenance charges no matter which razor one chooses. Once one becomes reconciled to that notion, the reduced price of regular replacement parts afforded by purchasing a less expensive razor should be somewhat comforting. ... or not. ;)
