Answer:	OK everybody, get our your rulers with inches on one side and metric on the other side. Looks like 7mm is just a hair over 1/4 ", so 9/32 is probably correct. 12mm looks a hair under 1/2", so I think 15/32. The typo is the 1 is missing from 15 in 15/32.

Answer:	The question is referring to trimming the head hair (medium/heavy duty), as opposed to just facial hair (light/medium duty). Yes, this can be used to trim the hair on your head. I have one and I use it for that. In fact, that's the safest place to use it because if you're not careful, it'll draw blood on your neck/face should you let the cutting tines press against your flesh at too high an angle.

Answer:	Use the guards! I’m assuming you’re asking about a trim rather than a shave down. Trim with the guards on to shorten the hair and use a razor to shave it to a clean finish. People who don’t use the guards are doing it all wrong! Who the heck uses clippers straight up on skin like that. If you did, you deserved to get nicked.

Answer:	When you clean the razor in the base, some hair goes into the solution cartridge. I found that some collects in the base and needs to be wiped out or rinsed out when you change the cartridge. I have to do all this for my husband!

Answer:	Just rinse it under the sink while it’s turned on. You can also add a drop or two of hand soap before rinsing it under the sink. If you do pre-rinse the cutting head make sure you then use the cleaning station, as rinsing the cutting head in the sink removes all lubricant from the razor. The Braun cleaning solution is just alcohol and lemon oil, the lemon oil acts as a lubricant.

Answer:	My girlfriend uses one for her legs, armpits, and lady bits. It leaves her skin smooth and free of razor burn or ingrown hairs. We both own this (I use mine on my face though)

Answer:	Black man here. I've had one of these for 5 years and can add my voice to the mix: only minor skin irritations, but I don't use aftershave at all, just some lotion. My only extra advice is that the automatic cleaner base broke after 2 years, but the plug goes directly into the shaver, which I now buzz into a glass of soap. And the sideburn shaver part broke off just this year, but the shaver still lasts for 10+ shaves / 6 weeks for a charge after all this time.

Answer:	I have Phillips Norelco S3310 and the SH-30 blades were recommended. If you look at the fine print on the back of your shaver, it ill tell you the correct blades for your shaver. You will probably need a magnifying glass to read the print.

Answer:	If you have a child 4 or younger with a well-developed beard or mustache, this is just the product for you! Parental supervision is recommended as there are still ways in which one could be cut when using some of the attachments, but I would think it's still safer than teaching that 4 year old Grizzly Adams how to use a straight razor.

The instructions say the stubble should ideally be 1/32" which is basically a few days worth of razor stubble, depending on how fast your hair grows. This shaver is exclusively for stubble; if the hair is too long, it will not cut it, remember it is a shaver, not clippers. This will not give you as smooth a shave as a razor, it is designed to prevent razor bumps and irratation. It does what is was designed to do...give you a close shave without irratation.

Answer:	Well, sort of. I previously owned the black shaver by Wahl, looks nearly identical to this one, and is nicknamed 'Finale' It was OK. It is more of a "finishing touch" shaver;if you stay on top of your shaving and don't let the hairs exceed about 1/32" in length (head AND face. It will shave smooth. I'm considering purchasing the Red one . Both Wahl shaver's the red and black I can only assume are similar to the red and black Andis Profoil Lithium Titanium shavers. Which, the Andis red I swear by. But I would like to also give the Wahl red 5 Star shaver a go and see how that one is. I wasn't Uber-crazy about the Wahl black 'Finale' -if you frequently and consistently shave keeping hairs 1/32" or smaller, then you will love it I'm sure. It does not cut anything larger than 1/32" (finishing touch" shavers like black Wahl Finale,/black Andis P/L/T shaver, that is)But also, be advised that (you may already know this) as with ANY new shaver, there will be an "adjustment period" for your skin and hair follicles to get used to and adjust to the new shaver. So for a few weeks, you may likely get incomplete shaves (leftover uncut stray hairs here and there on your head and face the shaver didn't cut) and/or hella razorburn. This is NORMAL and will subside after a few weeks or so (give or take) There is NOTHING WRONG with the shaver OR you. Just keep a disposable razor and shave cream handy and some aloe vera skin lotion to help with any razor burn, to eliminate this til after you start adjusting to the new shaver. It'll be a small hassle, yes, for only a small short time, but stick with the shaver and give it some time. I went through the same stuff too and almost got rid of my shavers, but I'll tell you what, I'm SO GLAD I stuck it out and allowed for adjustment period, because I get the most awesome head AND facial shaves now.

Answer:	I'm 64 and have used this shaver for about 20+ years. It's an excellent product for Black men and I suspect, others as well. Gives a very nice and close shave. I don't have heavy facial growth so shave only 3-4 times each week. Usually bumps are caused by ingrowing hair and/or razor use. This shaver doesn't cause bumps as far as can be ascertained. Highly recommended especially for 'da bruvvers.' I would make a commercial for this product without payment!

Answer:	My charger indicated 120 volts only. I bought the groomer not knowing I'd be going to Europe for three years. Before I left, I bought a very small, inexpensive voltage converter (charging it takes very little wattage) and used the groomer in Europe for three years with no problem and continue to use it in the US.

Answer:	Yes and very well. You should be sure you're only using it against taught skin, so if you need to stretch things a bit to get a proper working area, that's the way to go. For methods, the end of the razor head actually looks like an angled blade like this /\\\ where the / is the blade and the \\\ is the razor body. when shaving with the razor) go in the same direction as the hair grain (pretty neat to find out how it curves etc). Go with the grain first, then against. Typically the thighs, pubis, and posterior can all be shaved in any direction. Your meat and potatoes are the troublesome parts. Answer:	Yes, if your military keep on in your locker or glove compartment. Just don't press hard because you'll cut yourself or break the razor. This has saved my ass many times when burning the midnight oil and didn't buy new blades for my razor and wanted to avoid getting rash, razor burn and ingrown hair because of a old blade. I have sensitive skin and shaving wet with this blade cuts close with little bit pressure but I develop a rash. So I dry shave after pt just incase they do a inspection. This saved me many times and only once I got a comment to replace the blade on my razor, lol.

Answer:	I concur with a lot of the other answers in that it is the best razor clipper whatever that I have ever used downstairs. You DO have to pull your skin taut at certain places or you will nick yourself. I've only just now done this experiment, so I don't know about irritation level when it starts to grow back, which has been the biggest deterrent to doing this in the past. If anyone has some feedback on how the growing back process is in terms of irritation and itching, etc, please reply!

Think about how the best razor you can buy will leave some roughness on your face or chest until you go over the spot a few times and that it with a precise blade and the best ergonomics possible. Do you think this wide ass blade is some how better? It’s way not!. And the ergonomics are way worse. You can’t feel the stubble as you try to work the spot. Basically this is not a magic razor. It’s just one that you can actually reach your back with. Nothing will work better than a wax or some laser or getting a shower buddy with a regular razor to do it for you. If you don’t mind the stubble and having your shirts velcroed to the stubble and you need the privacy of doing this alone then this razor is worth it. If you want a smooth back look elsewhere and not at these types of things. I bought one during their kick starter for a lot more than they went on sale for after the kick starter. I drank the kool aid and the aftertaste is bad.

Answer:	All the answers from Feb 2020 are now out of date. As of 8/23/2020, just search anywhere for "Braun 35B" and it will come up. Of course a company like Braun would never put out an orphaned product. I'm guessing there was a short-term supply problem back then? Watch out when shopping... there is more than one style cutter head for the series 5 Shavers. You need the type number which is only number that is unique to your shaver. I finally found it on my shaver under the cutter head. The front page of the manual shows Model 5762 for the one I got. Then manual also lists the 53B cutter head assembly. So keep your manual! You will also need it to reset the cutter replacement indicator. Amazon is only showing one. It is $31.72 but there is $11.26 shipping from the UK. Walmart has it on their website for $29.90 with free shipping.
