I would make sure after conditioning the beard to seal in the moisture with a beard oil or jojoba or argan oil to keep the bead soft and shiny.

Answer:	Hi An,The pH of a dog's skin is neutral to slightly alkaline at about 7.5 on a standard pH scale of 0 to 14 - more alkaline than human skin. The pH of 4-Legger shampoos are typically @ 7.5 - 8.5. We do see some variation between batches as we use use all natural ingredients. The pH of the ingredients can change based upon the rainfall and other growth conditions. We do not use synthetic chemicals to alter the natural pH. It is safe and non-toxic for both you and your dog.Acidic shampoos will strip away the natural sebum (oils) from a dog's coat resulting in dry irritated skin and a dull coat. The sebum is responsible for keeping your dog's skin soft and moist and for making their coat shine. It also has natural antibacterial properties (without the use of toxic ingredients)! Stripping away too much of the sebum deteriorates the dog's natural, protective acid mantle and can actually create a situation where a dog is more likely to get an infection.Thanks for the question!

Answer:	Hi June! There really is no such thing as tear-free shampoo. Unfortunately that doesn't stop most companies from using it as a marketing term to get sales. The truth is that even ones that claim to be tear free, have just added MORE chemicals to neutralize the stinging effect of the other chemicals that are already in it. So, a "tear free" shampoo really just means there are even more harmful chemicals in it - nobody wants that for their pup! Even worse, the chemical that other companies normally use to make their shampoo "tear free" has been linked to cataracts in dogs, which can lead to blindness! Even worse for puppies since the "tear free" chemical can destroy the protein necessary for visual development. Sorry this is a long answer, but it's important information and it is an excellent question. We do not recommend using 4-Legger in such a way that it comes in contact with your dogs eyes...just as you wouldn't use a soap product around your own eyes. There is no chemical in our product that would hurt your dogs eyes, but it might not be be very comfortable, so just use care and common sense during bath time. Thank you for the question!

Question:	Is this product for infants ??? very confusing comments
Answer:	It does not foam much especially if your hair is on the oily side like mine. The intent of Original Sprout products is to stay away from toxic ingredients. Most shampoos have harmful "foaming chemicals" and sulfates. The effect is - these chemicals strip hair of natural oils and the scalp compensates and over-produces more oils, which causes you to wash your hair more (and use more shampoo). I got over missing my high foaming shampoos knowing that my kids and family are not being coated with harmful stuff at bath time. It foams enough, and does a good job cleaning the hair. It has a nice smell. I will say that if you want more foam, the "Hair and Body Wash" foams up much more and does a great job cleaning both body and hair - it really does. In fact, I don't buy the shampoo anymore and just use the body wash for our hair.
Question:	Is this product vegan
Answer:	I'm African American with 4c natural hair and after purchasing this product it did not soften or detangle my hair at all BUT I did use it on my niece and nephews' hair (also African American; fine and very coily and super thick and coily) and it worked wonders for them!!! I guess it REALLY depends on your hair type.
