Answer:	The ingredient list does have carrageenan in it. This from "Medical News Today" Carrageenan is a controversial food additive. Dr. Washington Wentworth Sheffield was a well respected dentist and dental surgeon from New London, Connecticut. In 1850, he created a new tooth cleaning product called toothpaste, replacing the tooth powders that were common at that time. His only problem was "what to put it in"?

Along came Dr. Lucius T. Sheffield, Dr. Sheffields son. Lucius was studying in Paris when he came upon parisian artists preparing their paint palettes. Question:	Is this gentle enough for children
Answer:	According to the instructions you should get 8 applications per tube. I believe I get closer to 10-12, I am only on my 2nd box and I have been using this product for nearly 3 years. I have custom made trays and you use a very small amount in each tooth indentation. The consistency of this product is thin enough that it spreads completely over the tooth, but thick enough so it adheres well and does not run. If too much is used it spills out onto your gums & that can cause some sensitivity. Remember once your teeth reach the desired whiteness you only have to repeat the treatment for 2 consecutive days every 4-6 months.
Question:	Does this toothpaste contain licorice root? What are the ingredients in this paste
Answer:	It does not need refrigeration after receiving and using. I believe some of the manufacturers suggest putting it in a refrigerator. I do both ways. Effectiveness is the same to me.

Answer:	It does contain licorice root, but you cannot taste it. Some of the other ingredients are Neem, Peelu, Pomegranite, walnut, arabica bark, and about another dozen or so. I've used this for years and it has done a great job of keeping my teeth in good shape, always get good grades from my dentist. It lasts a long time because you only need a tiny bit on your toothbrush. I also use the Auromere mouthwash daily. Highly recommend these products.

Carrageenan (CGN) is a common food additive that has been widely used for decades as a gelling, thickening and stabilizing agent. Carrageenan has been proven safe for human consumption; however, there has been significant confusion in the literature between CGN and the products of intentional acid-hydrolysis of CGN, which are degraded CGN (d-CGN) and poligeenan (PGN). In part, this confusion was due to the nomenclature used in early studies on CGN, where poligeenan was referred to as “degraded carrageenan” (d-CGN) and “degraded carrageenan” was simply referred to as carrageenan. Answer:	This is the answer that came from Karen of the Crest team. She said- We recommend using a mild toothpaste like Crest Cavity Protection while you are whitening your teeth. To help maintain whiter teeth after using Crest Whitestrips, you can use our 2-step system, such as Crest 3D White Brilliance 2 step toothpaste, to gently polish away daily surface stains. Answer:	Step 2 contains hydrogen peroxide as it’s whitening agent. Although I don’t think mouthwash will affect your teeth adversely, I do believe you should wait a a couple to a few minutes after you brush to get the full whitening benefit from the peroxide. It’s also noted that the hydrogen peroxide kills germs in the mouth too so it could theoretically prevent bad breath like a mouth wash. All and all it’s safe to use mouthwash and rinse alike.

Answer:	You can but I would avoid using it until your braces are removed so you don't have a yellowed spot where your braces currently are once they're removed.

Answer:	I bought this as a set. It had the B12 and the charcoal toothpaste in the set. The B12 was the AM toothpaste and the charcoal was the PM toothpaste. I never used the B12 at night so I cannot answer your question but maybe this is why it was sold that way. Interesting.

Answer:	There is no fluoride in these toothpastes, but fluoride is starting to gain a reputation as one of the biggest hoaxes ever pulled on the American people. Calcium fluoride can help your teeth, but what you commonly find in dental products and city water is Sodium fluoride, which is actually a waste product created in the aluminum manufacturing process. The way it helps your teeth is to clean them better, by removing the stains and plaque that contribute to tooth decay and mouth problems, besides the charcoal, which helps remove stains and helps maintain the PH of your mouth, the xylitol cleans and freshens your mouth as well. The B12 version does not have the charcoal in it, and it has a little of the foaming agents that are in regular toothpaste so it "fluffs up" a bit more in your mouth. It still cleans my teeth quite well, and I tend to switch off between the two of them.

Answer:	proably not. sodium cocoyl glutamate and glycerin can both be derived from palm oil. you would have to contact the company to find out whether or not it is palm oil or coconut derived. (p.s. there are over 200+ names for palm oil and its derivatives, so be careful).

Answer:	Firstly, I don't use this particular variety. I use a different Hello toothpaste. And secondly, I think this would be a much better question to ask the manufacturer than the Amazon community. I, myself, would rather have the plastic than the metal tubes most companies use in their toothpastes.
