Answer:	They are not compatible. I've owned both and recommend Sonicare over Pursonic. My Sonicare worked for years whereas my Pursonic worked for two months.

Answer:	Roy, it really depends on your beard. I personally find that on areas of my face where the beard is easier to cut I can use big circles because it requires fewer passes to get the hair. On areas where the beard is tougher, I use smaller circles, because I can put more attention to getting the troublesome hairs. Counterclockwise or clockwise does not matter. It is whatever works for you. Just experiment and you will figure out what works best. Hope that helps

Answer:	I shave my head every other day with a 9311. It does a fine job with no irritation. It's easier, faster and closer than the Andis barber sheers I previously used.
Question:	Does the toothbrush need to stay on charger all the time?...or, can it be off charger for like a whole week until needing recharged
Answer:	Having tried both the 8000 series and the RQ12+ head that you see on this 9000 series shaver, it is my opinion that the original shaving head on the 8000 series provides a closer and smoother shave. Note the design difference by searching on the Philips Norelco 1290X/46 Shaver 8800 that is still available for sale. Careful research may find this head on other, cheaper Norelco shavers. Norelco apparently believes their new RQ12+ shaving head - provided on the 9000 series and as an 8000 series replacement - is better. As I, and others, have reviewed, the RQ12+ head is less smooth on the face - literally catching on your chin, for example - as well as not shaving as close. It also seems to have some trouble cutting and tends to pull hair. It also completely jams the shaver if your beard is a couple of days old. In addition, I have had the RQ12+ head actually fall apart several times during a shave. On inspection you will note that it is cheaply made by comparison to the head on the 8000 series units. It is my opinion that Norelco is simply misrepresenting this "advanced" shaving head and providing less technology for more money. The additional and significant downside to the current Norelco business model is that all USA and Canada service centers have now been closed and battery replacement is next to impossible. Also, if you are happy with the 8000 series shaving head - and I would guess you will be - when you decide to replace the head, the only available replacement is the RQ12+. I actually replaced the shaving head on my 8000 series unit with this RQ12+ and used it for a month. It was the WORST Norelco experience in 25 years of using these shavers. I finally replaced the old, worn original shaving head, which I thankfully had kept, and was immediately pleased with the result again - closer, cleaner and more comfortable that the brand new RQ12+! Unfortunately, my 8000 series battery is now failing to take more than 15 min charge. Considering the head and battery issues - as well as the lack of service - it is extremely likely that I will try a different brand. It would seem that this is just another example of money and corporate greed becoming more important that product pride and people. As most all business owners know, this is great way to make short term profits, while wrecking the long term reputation - and profits - of your company.
