It is far less sweet, and using this regularly my teeth are brighter now (at age 68) than they have ever been - and I don't use anything else to achieve that. As far as the deodorant question goes, I've used it but it didn't inspire the loyalty in me that many of the other specialty brands have.

If you drink dark beverages, coffee, sugary drink, dip, or smoke all of these will have a negative effect. What you consume matters. If you want something a little quicker To start you off, use the whiting strips, but once again if you smoke, drink dark or sugary beverages you won’t have the best outcome of the product.

Wish I could be more help but I have a suggestion: Go to Whole Foods, if there is one in your area, and they carry this toothpaste. Check it out yourself to see if it does have any sugar. Sorry can't be of more help.
