User questions & answers
Question: | Does this have fluoride |
Answer: | Hiya T. Chau—The most effective manner in which to remove plaque is to visit your dentist for a thorough checkup and professional cleaning. To maintain low plaque build-up, be sure to brush and floss regularly. Regularly means different things to different people—so an example would be as follows:(1) Brush and Floss after every meal including snacks i.e chips etc. (keep a travel toothbrush, paste and pocket floss on you at all times)(2) Brush and Floss immediately before going to bed(3) In addition to regular brushing and flossing use a metal tongue scraper(4) Be sure to use a toothpaste that has ingredients to help fight plagueTaking constant care of one's mouth can be a job, but once you get into the swing of things it becomes automatic. The TheraBreath Oral Rinse does take a use or two for you to become acquired with the mild taste, but I promise the good it does for improving oral odor far outweighs the taste bar none.Hope this helps,Aware |
Question: | What's supposed to happen in the sink? All it does is stain the sink blue |
Answer: | It's clear but a little cloudy |
Question: | Is this 3 27 oz bottles or 27 oz total |
Answer: | The active ingredient in Chlorine Dioxide (ClO2) which is not currently FDA-approved. Here's a study regarding ClO2 usage in mouthwash: https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2831889/ |
Question: | Do you use this before brushing or after |
Answer: | Not sure, but I am curious; why would you fill a standard punch bowl with mouth wash?EDIT: After doing a bit of research, I've figured the answer to be 20 bottles. The typical punch bowl (according to a quick Google search) holds 2.5 gallons, which equals 320 ounces. Each bottle of mouth wash contains 16 oz's, so coming up with the answer was just a simple matter of division. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What is the difference between this and the prescription version, Prevident Oral Rinse, which uses neutral or neutralized sodium fluoride |
Answer: | yes - 16 oz 8 oz and 2 oz |
Question: | Is this one better than Act Braces Care |
Answer: | According to the ingredients list on the bottle it contains several types of sulfates. |
Question: | Can I put phos flur in a small bottle for travel |
Answer: | If you are asking if the product itself is blue in color, it is actually a very dark purple in color. If you are asking if the label refers to Blue, it does not. It states for Blonde and Silver. My husbsnd’s stylist told us to buy Clairol Shimmering lights Blue for his white hair. I have looked several places and have not found that product specifically. Not sure if it was renamed or I just haven’t found it. He is currently using the above product and it seems to help keep his white hair white for the most part. |
Question: | Why is this so expensive? The price at the dentist is only $8, which I thought was expensive for mouthwash, hence my Amazon search |
Answer: | You might have to bleach it again or use a toner to get to a yellowish tint first. But you can try 🤷🏼♀️ |

User questions & answers
Question: | Can i brush "after" using this? do i need to wait? will it stil provide 12 hour protection? i dont want this to make my teeth look darker |
Answer: | Ok, not to be smart... but you can do whatever you want to do. However, If you swish and spit, then brush, are you not in essence washing out your mouth and removing any protective agent which the mouthwash leave behind? Just my opinion. Also what is it that you think is in the mouthwash that will make your teeth look darker? I've never heard of that happening and have been using mouthwashs for over 3 decades. Just wondering what information you're readying or who you are listening to. |
Question: | Dont want the monthly purchase |
Answer: | Then don't sign up for it. |
Question: | how long should I wait to eat or drink after rinsing with cogate total advanced pro-shield |
Answer: | Non expert opinion is that 10 minutes would be good... 5 minutes might do. |
Question: | Expiration date |
Answer: | I had no problem with the exp date on my bottles of it |

User questions & answers
Question: | is it spearmint or peppermint |
Answer: | Catylpyridnium chloride is the only active ingredient. Not sure if that’s for bacteria, breath or what. There are a bunch of inactive ingredients too |
Question: | The efficiency in bacteria level |
Answer: | It tastes like fresh |
Question: | ingredients list please |
Answer: | No these do NOT come in a pump. They come in a box of 3 large 33 ounce bottles. I just refill my smaller 16 ounce bottles with these. Works great for me & that way I don't even need a pump. A pump is only included with the gallon size single jug (also available on Amazon) which is more expensive than buying this set of 3 bottles of 33 ounces each. Hope that's helpful! |
Question: | Is it a 6-pack of 33.8 oz per each bottle, or a total of 33.8 oz divided into 6 bottles |
Answer: | Hi Apple, Phillips owns both Sonicare and BreathRx brands. |

Question: | Is the flavor peppermint or wintergreen |
Answer: | I don't know what does hairspray taste like? Part of the appeal is the strong flavor. |
Question: | Is this better than Act fluoride mouthwash |
Answer: | Hello Adam, Closys mouthwash does not contain CPC. I would highly recommend it. It is on the pricing side but well worth it. You will see a difference, it has made my teeth whiter and it helps in breaking down particles such as plaque build up. It is awesome. The closys tooth paste is also great. The tooth paste & mouthwash is the only one I use after crest prohealth mouthwash turned my teeth brown. Here's the link to the mouthwash: http://www.amazon.com/CloSYS-Mouth-Rinse-16-Ounce/dp/B00156C2FE/ref=sr_1_1?s=hpc&ie=UTF8&qid=1393475463&sr=1-1&keywords=closys+mouthwashGood luck. ~Britty |
Question: | what is the glycerin from vegetable or animal |
Answer: | I noticed the 18oz. bottle has 0.05% fluoride because it meant to be used 1 time daily. And the larger 38oz. bottle only has 0.02% fluoride because it’s me at to be used 2 times a day. It seems the smaller bottle is more concentrated. I could be wrong about this but this is my best deductive conclusion |
