Answer:	The tattoo lasts longer if you use makeup setting spray. I spray mine with makeup setting spray right before I go to bed and in the morning both before and after my shower. Makeup setting spray really works. I also make sure to draw the tattoo very dark, which helps.
Question:	What makes the glitter stay in the tattoo
Answer:	A small amount of hydrochloric acid is added to the tattoo marker inks to adjust the pH (neutralize the ink). You can find hydrochloric acid listed on many cosmetic products for the same reason.

You then peel off the protective layer to reveal another sticky side. When you brush the glitter on top of the transfer, the glitter stays in place. 3. Apply a thin layer of the body adhesive. Make sure you completely cover the area - including all corners and finer details with the supplied glue.

4. Quickly remove the glitter tattoo stencil before the glue dries.

5. Wait 2 minutes until the skin adhesive dries and becomes clear.

6. Apply glitter

After you shower or bath, always pat the tattoo dry with a towel. Never rub your glitter tattoo after a shower, bath, or washing your hands because when you rub the tattoo with a towel after a warm shower, it come off immediately.

Never apply lotion, oil, or perfume directly on your glitter tattoo.

I don't think these are non-toxic. I've reviewed the packaging and even visited the manufacturer's web site and no where do they note these are 'non-toxic' (if they were manufacturers would want to promote this). After further research, I visited the EWG's web site to look into some of the ingredients. I researched all the ingredients but the top 2 are the ones to be aware of: Propylene Glycol - Health Concerns 3 out of 10. Concerns are with Allergies & Immunotoxicity. Other HIGH concerns: Irritation (skin, eyes, or lungs). Aluminum Powder - Health Concerns 4-9 out of 10. Concerns are with Allergies & Immunotoxicity as well as Neurotoxicity. Hope this helps.
