Answer:	It depends on what you want it for, if you have curly hair and live in a humid climate this will definitely NOT be of any help whatsoever. It is TOO cheap, this could be used as a toy for a pre-adolescent, but it is really of no use. I would strongly advice you to buy other Conair products like the curling iron that serves two purposes, curling and straightening.

Answer:	Yes, you just have to apply a little extra pressure to get the straightener to really flatten and crimper to really crimp. Working on something other than your own hair I think would be fine. Answer:	I don'y have experience with the deep waver, but my hair is in layers and it is cut in a bob, just above my shoulders also. I love this waver ! Makes a nice wave without the kinky look.
