Answer:	Green and Gold would work better for slick backs than Red Dax, but neither of them is designed for that. These two are more for pumps. Green and Gold will work or a slick back if you use a lot of it. Has a pretty good shine, but the scent is awful. Personally, I wouldn't use it for a slick back. There are cheaper alternatives for that and they do a better job. Try using Murray's Superior as your base coat and then follow it up with two or three scoops of Murray's Hair Glo or Murray's Super Light for shine. Dax Green and Gold is to get a mini-Elvis pompadour.

Answer:	No you cannot!!! Despite being clearly labelled as working OK with "120-250V" outlets, this is not the case. While on vacation in Europe my wife plugged it in to an outlet and it began sparking and almost caught on fire. Most regular sized irons are 11 to 12 inches. This is called a mini iron. This is from the drop down menu below the regular iron. It is important to read all the descriptions to know what you are getting.
Question:	Does it work well on African American or mixed curly hair
Answer:	I've had this flat iron for 5 or 6 years, I've used it for maybe about 3 of those years where my hair was a mix of natural and permed, and YES it works very well on African American hair. There is a heat controlled setting on this flat iron. So, to the person that states it's too hot and breaks an AA's hair off, first of all, not all AA's hair is the same. My hair requires a greater amount of heat to straighten. Second, I don't think they are using the setting correctly because the heat setting can be controlled. It will fry anyone's hair (fabrics, clothing, etc.) on the highest setting, which I believe is 450 deg. I keep it right around 410 deg. I use this to achieve very straight styles (or right after a shampoo and blow dry) and my mini for daily use. I also use this with a thermal protector like Mizani thermal protector. I also use to use this with the Mizani's Gloss Veil when until they stopped making it. Make a long story short, it can get very hot, but don't use it on it's highest setting.

Answer:	I believe the only difference is that the 3rd generation has slightly longer plates than the regular iron. Neither of these flat irons are of the current generation, which is why they're being sold so cheaply. I think they must be a few years old, because if you look at the current 1-inch flat iron on HSI's website, it's slightly different and costs quite a bit more. That said, I bought the regular iron here and I could not be happier with it. It's everything I wanted. I can curl or straighten my hair, it doesn't burn, the temperature can be adjusted so easily. My only warning is that it doesn't have an automatic turn-off, so you need to be someone who can always remember to turn it off or unplug it.

Question:	Is this dual voltage
Answer:	There are "20" heat settings on the dial, but it's more like 4 and a couple of dots; i.e. 1, dot, 5, dot, 10, dot 20. So to say there are 20 separate heat settings is misleading. This iron gets HOT. I can't remember the exact temp, but basically if you're not sealing in a salon keratin treatment you shouldn't be using it. It's over 400 degrees and will fry your hair off. I keep mine on the dot between 5 and 10 (I have fine hair) and will not set it any higher than that. So, depending on your hair type . . setting 1 does nothing. Setting 10 straightens well. Setting 20 will break off all of your hair :-)

Tips for Straightening

Step 1:Hold a bundle of hair around 5-6cm in width.

Step 2:Move the hair iron straight from the top to the end.

Step 3:To straighten the rest of your hair,repeat steps from 1 to 2.

Step 1:Hold a bundle of hair around 3cm in width.

Step 2:Rotate the main body inward half-rotation
