Answer:	I would imagine you could. The bowl is double wall construction like a vacuum thermos. I have not done this, but I would not be afraid to. Of course that assumes you take prudent precautions, such as an area clear of flammables and set upon a nonflammable surface.

It wilm hold most shave brushes, mine is a wood carving of a skull so not normal shape
