| Answer: | Go with the larger one. I have mine stretched out to 16 feet for a 14 foot wide cover. Stretching it out to the Max of 18 feet, it will work but tends to sag in the middle and you will need the extra foot on each side because the cover will not always roll up exactly in the same place every time especially if its a little breezy when you roll it up. It is a one person operation but, its always nice to have an extra person to help on windy days. Remember to go slow and it will work great. I love mine it works great but, I lay mine down when the pool is covered because the wind tends to get under the cover and pull the reel over. So YES, always go bigger. Hope this helps...enjoy. |

| Answer: | I have the blue/black one. Blue side up, black down raises temp 1-2 degrees on hot days. When it is sunny there will be a layer of 6-12 inches of water that is significantly higher in temperature if the pump not going. With pump it raises the entire pool (I have a 20 x 40 in ground). Only problem I have seen is a few areas where the top and bottom layer are delaminating which makes bubbles on the surface. Otherwise a great cover. |
