In addition there is now so much oil in this newer version of this spray that it makes hair very heavy and flat. Hair also ends up looking like it needs to be washed within an hour. Good luck with finding a replacement.

Answer:	No, you don't need to wash your hair after one day of use. I wash my hair, which is chin length, every third morning in the shower. After drying and styling my hair, I spray it lightly with the L'Oreal Paris Elnett Satin spray. In the afternoon, I spray it again lightly to refresh it. If I'm going out in the evening, I spray it lightly again to give it a little more body.

Answer:	I would say that I THINK you would want something more firm. That said, it is very lightweight, so it might be okay but this depends on the hairstyle. My hair is not really thick, but I wear it down with a slight teasing in the crown. This spray holds it gently, without the stiffness of other sprays. I like this, as my hair has movement. If your hair is short and you want hold, you might need something stiffer.
