From what I have read, the cable used for both the straight through and crossover formats is exactly the same. The difference between straight through and crossover cable is that in the crossover configuration the color-covered wires that stick out from the frayed ends of the cable are wired into the plug differently at one end. Answer:

No...this is not good for oily hair. I have dry hair due to dying it and bought this and it worked ok. However....if you have oily hair and want it squeaky clean, use head and shoulders classic clean and then use the classic clean conditioner ONLY if you can find it. Not only does it leave your hair smelling the best ever but the conditioner works well with oily hair. My daughter has long oily hair like I use to and wished that this had been available years ago. Answer:	False!!! Dish soap has de-greasers so used over time it is going to dry out and damage your dads's hair. This Pert has a conditioner built in that works well for me without leaving my hair feeling heavy ... like some conditioners.
