Answer:	Lots of small pieces (nuts and bolts). No mallet required but easier if you bought lighter weight assembled type unit.

Question:	Does anyone know what size the standard blade is that comes attached to this trimmer? I'm looking for a trimmer with an attached #10 blade
Answer:	I imagine you could hook them up to a preamp and make them active, but they are passive pickups. Can't comment on the sound yet as I just had them put in my MIM Fender P-Bass this weekend (at a local music store) and haven't had a chance to bring it home yet. I play flats on it and they were not cutting through the mix for me at church (plug into the boards through a preamp-styled direct box) and I was hoping the SPB-2s would give me a little more oomph and clarity than the stock MIMs (but not quite what the SPB-3 quarter pounders might produce).

Answer:	I bought an older used SG 405 and replaced its (presumably stock) pickups with the SSB5S and I think I've gotten more volume and I like the tone better too.

Answer:	No, they have a good mid-low tone. But not a deep low tone, but you can dial some good lows with the right amp, I am just judging by studio where I go through a direct box.

Answer:	Yes, the metal blade guard is the same as other Wahl clippers, so the plastic clips will fit.
Question:	can I use the wahl elite pro for beard trimming and cutting
Answer:	You can, but I tried it today and found it a bit big and unwieldy--especially for getting at the mustache. Wahl makes something called a "Peanut," specifically for beard trimming. It has all the guard attachments and performance of a Wahl clipper, but it's about 1/4 the size (maybe 2" long and not quite 1" wide), so very good for precision use.
Question:	What is the shortest guard
Answer:	About a 1/4in. There's a good selection of guards. I don't use one at all? I use to have a lot of hair but as time marches on! This is my 2nd Wahl, dropped the other one to many times and after 32 years its done its share of hair cuts. Keep it clean and oiled, it will last for years.

Question:	can you trim your beard
Answer:	I actually bought this specifically for my beard after a long series of fancy/shmancy cordless ones that just weren't powerful enough to get the job done. I trim to 1.5-2 mm over the weekend and let it grow till the next. All the cordless ones could 'shave' with no attachments alright, but any attachments were gimmicky for coarser facial hair combined with the weak motor. This one works great and only takes a couple of minutes for an even trim. The finishing is alright for a 20 bucks clipper.

Answer:	I replaced the blades with blade model 1045-100. They fit perfectly and were easy to put on the trimmers. They are listed as "WAHL Professional 2 Hole Precision Clipper Blade" and are available through Amazon.
Question:	Can i use this on trimming my dog's hair
Answer:	My dog's hair is very thick, and it jams up the clipper. I have to unclog it after 2-3 passes through the thickest parts. Doesn't work at all on his legs and tummy, just flattens the hair out. Works fine on my human hair, though.

Answer:	The clippers do get warm by the end of a long haircut. They have never gotten so warm that I couldn't comfortably complete a haircut. As for durability, they are quite heavy and feel sturdy. I haven't had any components break despite dropping it a few times over the years. I'm a wife who cuts her (military) husband's hair, not a barber, so I can't comment on how they compare to a "professional" clipper set. I've been very pleased with the quality for the price.

Answer:	With a voltage adapter, will only work if you're in a 220 volt 60 Hertz country. Will not work on 50 Hertz power. Wahl trimmers are tuned to resonate with the power frequency and they do not work correctly with the wrong frequency power.NOTE: 220volt/60Hertz power is somewhat rare. Most 220 power is 50 Hertz, so this product will NOT work in most of the world.
