Answer:	You can, but I tried it today and found it a bit big and unwieldy--especially for getting at the mustache. Wahl makes something called a "Peanut," specifically for beard trimming. It has all the guard attachments and performance of a Wahl clipper, but it's about 1/4 the size (maybe 2" long and not quite 1" wide), so very good for precision use.

Answer:	About a 1/4in. There's a good selection of guards. I don't use one at all? I use to have a lot of hair but as time marches on! This is my 2nd Wahl, dropped the other one to many times and after 32 years its done its share of hair cuts. Keep it clean and oiled, it will last for years.

Answer:	I have been using it for my beard for nearly 3 years now. I got to start cutting my beard. I wanted something with a detachable blade so that it can more evenly cut my beard, has not disappointed in three years. Use it to cut your own hair, and it will pay itself back.
Question:	Is the guard adjustable like most other clippers
Answer:	The guard isn't adjustable with a lever like other clippers.There are two ways to change the length at which it cuts. The cheaper option is to buy a set of clip on guards. I got the Oster Professional 10 Universal Comb Set. They're solidly built and should last well. ($22). The more expensive option is to buy metal clipper blades. ($20-30 each). If you only use a couple lengths, this could be an option. I'm fairly sure the clipper and these blades would outlive you. Hope this answers your question. If not, clarify and I'll try again.

The 7 1/2 was also too large (not just in length, but also the heel area and the sides of the shoes had a gap as well. Returned the 7 1/2 and ordered a 7. The 7 fit better, but they were a bit short. I've read a few comments saying they stretch out after a while, but I decided to return. I guess I just don't have a foot for Toms shoes.

Answer:	Beards are different something fancy would be questionable but simple beard could be trimmed if hair is not longer than 1” that is biggest attachment for it.

Answer:	#8 -1”,#7-7/8”,#6-3/4”,#5-5/8”,#4-1/2”,#3-3/8”,#2-1/4”,#1 1/2-3/16”,#1-1/8”,#1/2-1/16”. 2 ear guards have different thickness from one side to the other.
Question:	Can the blades be zero-gapped
Answer:	Yes these can be zero gapped. The back plate can be adjusted to a zero gap setting. It is a Phillips head screw x2. The cutting blade is fixed. It is a simpler adjustment than the Oster clippers I am familiar with.

Question:	Is this quiet? I need something that won't terrify my toddlers
Answer:	There are nine guide combs that attach to the cutter. The shortest is #0 (1/16") or 1.5mm and the longest hair length comb attachment is #5 (5/8") or 15mm. So far very happy with the quality of this clipper.
Question:	Can you use this while charging or plugged in if the battery is dead
Answer:	Yes, it does work when connected to the power cord. I started using the cord if I take a longer cut that takes more than 20minutes. If it just the side, I don’t use the cord as I can able to run on battery for 15minutes. I have this clipper for 4years and still cut really good. Battery is probably half capacity but good part is that it can still use the cord.
Question:	Does this work on 220 V
Answer:	According to Remington CS they said the clipper is .8mm. To me, that is not very short (I used an other Remington clipper (MB4110) that is .4mm without any guard).
Question:	How well does this work for beards
Answer:	It comes with Guide Combs numbering from 1.5 mm, up to 12mm. The older style measurements are on the first one, being #0, then standard measurements like 5/64 on the 2.0mm.
