Answer:	I read several reviews myself before mixing and applying this dye. This particular one, I used chamomile tea (hot), a pinch of lime or lemon juice to 2/3 oz of the henna dye. Mix well and let it sit overnight in the refrigerator. Take out next morning and let it sit for a half hour and apply to hair. I used a plastic bag and heating cap for 4 hours. As I stated in my review back to Amazon, this dye will NOT change the color of black hair. However, it tinted the grey hairs around the edge of my hairline for about 2 months.

Answer:	Henna should always be prepared in a wood, ceramic, glass, or plastic bowl, not metal (since it could tarnish the container and/or cause a reaction with the henna which will not be good for your skin). Answer:	My first thought is yes, it can be used for henna tattoos, if it is safe to leave it on your hair for hours on end it should be safe for tattoos. So technically it is safe... does it produce a good color? Well, it is pure henna so it should. Test it first, I am not a chemist but I think it will work great. I love the color it produces on my hair.

Answer:	Henna doesn't dry out your hair. It depends on how you prepare it and the ingredients you ADD to the mix. Lemon is very drying, so don't use it. Chamomile tea or cranberry juice (diluted 50/50 w/h2o) are plenty acidic for dye release and they don't dry your hair. Henna takes awhile to remove from your hair. 3 minutes of rinsing is simply not enough. 10-25 minutes is necessary depending on how thick/long your hair is. After you MUST shampoo and condition to remove residue or your hair will FEEL dry. This will NOT effect the color. Note: it will not actually be dry, it will just feel that way because there is still henna powder in your hair. A lot of people know absolutely nothing about henna and try it once, screw it up and then blame the product. You MUST do your research or be prepared for unreliable results. Question:	Once applied, how long does it take to color hair? I don't wish to leave on over night as I have read in the comments
Answer:	Using henna is not a 30 minute application and rinse process. HOWEVER it is well worth the effort for you hair's health. I have been using it for 4-5 years monthly and frequently get compliments. No more than 24hr before I color my hair I do a cleansing wash. I use Dawn dishwasher soap. The plain old kind. It takes all the accumulated conditioner and shampoo residues out of your hair. 1. I make the paste in the early AM of application day. cover it with plastic and let it 'stew'. I use whole milk for my moisture when making it. 4-8 hrs after I make it, I apply it. Depending on the day, I apply, wrap my head in plastic wrap to protect other surfaces I may contact while it is on and to retain moisture in it. I leave it on, 2-4 hrs (depends on what I'm doing that day. I rinse thoroughly and do NOT shampoo for a min of 24 hrs (including when I rinse it off) and max of 72 hrs. This will help it retain it's color longer. It WILL bleed onto clothing when your hair is wet. For at least a 1 after you color your hair. So when using towels, use darker towels that won't stain. Oxi-clean, does take a lot of the 'stain' out. AND most importantly, this is a SUPER red color. It is the natural color of henna. HOWEVER, you can tone it down with other henna like products. I do a 75%-25% mix of this natural henna and Dark Auburn Henna. This gives me the tamer color I prefer. If you do not like your color, unlike other OTC hair dyes you can buy, you can try again the next day. Although I would wait a day or two to get a better idea of the color it will remain. Following these steps for me has resulted in hair that is that of a 20-30 yr old who does NOT color/chemically treat their hair. I am 68. My hair is moist, not dry and brittle. Going to Henna is a commitment. You should not use other hair dye products on your hair as long as you have henna in it. I hear people say they have no problem switching from one to the other, HOWEVER I also hear that it can cause major damage to your hair. Beauticians I have spoken with agree with my assessment that you should not switch back and forth. There are a lot of YouTube how to's available. This is what works for me. Answer:	Trying to cover the roots is definitely a problem with this product. I find that using the tip of the applicator and applying it directly to the roots, where I part my hair And around my face line Is a big help. I do this almost daily and since it’s 1/4 inch of hair that I’m trying to cover I actually just leave it and I don’t rinse it out. I do this in the morning before I leave for work. It seems to take a continuous daily application to maintain root coverage. Lately I’ve been wondering if, after I wash hair, putting a little cider vinegar on the hair roots, ( this is suggested by some application methods) Then applying the Henna ,would help to better stain the hair And be longer lasting? Just a suggestion that I’ll try as soon as I can afford to purchase more. This is A very expensive product compared to 1–2 years ago! Answer:	Mix the henna packet with warm water, tea, or coffee to make a paste. Allow it to sit overnight, and after applying a skin protectant on any skin you don't want stained, work it into your hair. Keep applying coats to ensure there are no hairs missed, cover with plastic wrap, and wait at least 3 hours. Thoroughly rinse with cool water, and you will probably have a head of orange hair. Mix the packet of indigo as you did with the henna, but only allow it to sit for 10 to 20 minutes before applying, covering with plastic wrap, and waiting at least three hours. Rinse it out with cool water, and your orange hair should be whatever shade of brown or black you chose. That's what I did after two previous failures, and it worked.

Answer:	Hi i just did the two step process and I have to say that it is MUCH better to do it the 2 step way. The first step really preps you hair for maximum color retention on the second step. I have virgin middle eastern almost black hair with 10% gray and I got FULL coverage (about 8 hours on the second step). I bought the dark brown. Can't recommend it highly enough.

Answer:	Henna has an orange dye. It takes about a week to oxidize to its final color. Indigo has a blue dye. It also needs time to oxidize. Together, orange and blue make brown. At first, the color can appear to have a green cast, but once it oxidizes, it will tone down. If it still looks greenish after a week, add one teaspoon to one tablespoon of pure body art quality henna powder to enough of your conditioner to cover all of your hair. (The longer and thicker your hair, the more henna you'll need.) Apply this (gloss) mixture to your hair, cover with saran wrap (to keep all air out), and leave on for 4 hours. Rinse and condition as usual. Don't use shampoo for a few days. Because your hair is naturally reddish, it may just look brown/black for you (depending on whether you do the one step or two step application).

Answer:	It is for coverage grey hairs. It is not dye on full hairs. The pack holds less than 2 tablespoon of henna powder. If you plan to dye your full hair. Maybe add more than 1 pack? Depends on your length hair. 1 pack henna powder is 10 gram (less 1 tablespoon plus 6 tablespoons of water). I applied this henna on my grey hair areas. Let it for 30 minutes then raise with water. It doesn't make my hair looks like black, it makes darker brown.

Answer:	My roots (the gray parts) start showing about a month afterwards. The rest of my hair just sort of starts fading a bit right around that time also, so at four weeks I just redo my whole head. I have hair a bit longer than shoulder length and one box is two applications for me.

Answer:	I'm not sure of the expiration date located on the Box. I know that when I purchased mine from the health food store or Amazon, it does exactly what it's supposed to do. I've even had mine for over a year and it still performed well.
