Answer:	Yes, however you will have more red tones in your hair if you have dark hair mixed with gray. If your hair is dark blonde with gray your hair will have more gold tones than if you just used 7N.

Answer:	I would bleach my hair first, otherwise your color will not take on the light brown. But if you use a bleach make sure you buy olaplex #1. You put it in the bleach mix so you will not damage your hair. I am not a hair expert, this is just what I would do. Also condition with olaplex #2. This stuff is amazing.

Answer:	I had light blonde hair. After using it, it was a dark grey color. Pretty color, but I wanted a light silver color.

Answer:	You may want to try a color with "ash" in the name. Ash will help control some of the red. Definitely do a test strand first to make sure, and note the time it takes. This may take a while for brown hair. If it looks red or orange, leave it in longer. Also seek advice from a professional. Going from dark brown to light blond will take a while, more than 20 minutes. Developer 30 is a good call, don't go any less. I'm not a pro, but have had experience with lightening my medium brown hair to blond. Hope this helps and best of luck.

DIRECTIONS (2 WAYS):



1. For the most vibrant result apply to pre-lightened hair. Pre-lighten with Ion Color Brilliance Ammonia Free Powder Lightener (not included) to the desired level of lift. It is important to note that the degree of lift achieved with pre-lightening will directly affect the vibrancy and intensity of the final result. Underlying exposed contributing pigment must be taken into consideration. If the hair is orange or a dark yellow this will contribute to the final color.



To achieve a boldly intense brights color, pre-lighten to the level indicated in the table below for each specific color. After pre-lightening, shampoo with ion Color Defense Shampoo. Dry the hair. Apply chosen brights shade directly on dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes depending on the level of color intensity desired. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. Heat is not necessary for processing if the hair has been pre-lightened.



2. Color shine overlays on natural or color treated hair. Apply brights directly onto natural or color treated dry hair and process for 20 to 40 minutes. For more intense vibrant results, cover the hair with a processing cap and process with heat. Strand test every 5-10 minutes. After processing is completed, thoroughly rinse.

Answer:	The higher the volume the higher the lift, so your lightening your hair more with a higher volume. Purple and pink both fade really fast no matter what you do, but if you’re using semi-permanent you don’t need developer at all.

Answer:	No. You really should never wet you hair when applying hair dye (unless it specifically says to).

Answer:	Hi there, it's actually water that strips color. Moisture can lift the hair cuticles, and when the hair cuticles are lifted, dye molecules can escape, and that's how hair color fades. What you want to avoid is sulfate which can possibly act as an abrasive causing more hair cuticles to be lifted (though there isn't a solid scientific study to back this claim). The alcohol you see in the ingredients of this product is the one with a really long chain. It acts as a foaming surfactant. Hope this helps!

Answer:	I have longer super thick hair and it takes about 1 and 1/2 of the 8oz bottles to cover all of it. Then I save the rest for touch up.

Answer:	I used it on my 9yo aand it lasted a really long time. It eventually fade, but shoul nice looking. I had Splat recommended to me, but it would run EVERY TIME I washed my hair. Rhodes does NOT do that

Answer:	If you have bleached hair it will last for a very long time. It may not be as vibrant as it is when you first dye it, but it will still defiantly be there. If you have darker hair then it will wash out much quicker. My roots are very dark and my ends are bleached. After about 2 weeks my roots are back to normal but it’s been about two months and it is just now starting to fade more. If you use a dandruff shampoo it will wash out quicker, if you use a sulfate free shampoo then it should stay much longer.

Answer:	The fading of Arctic Fox hair colors varies from person to person and from color to color. In general, colors fades faster with EXCESSIVE exposure to sunlight, Frequent shampooing especially using Deep Cleansing or anti dandruff shampoos, use of alcohol base hairspray, gel or other hair products, etc... Darker colors tend to last longer than the lighter Arctic Mist, but all colors could last up to 30 - 40 washes... How do you know what level your hair is?

2. Apply to Hair

Apply to freshly cleaned hair that has been washed with shampoo only, no conditioner, and fully dried. For best results, apply to hair that is lightened to level 7 or above.

3. Leave in Hair

Leave in for 40 minutes as a minimum. The AF formula is so gentle and conditioning though, so you can leave it on for longer if you prefer!

4. Rinse Out

Question:	I usually use a 8N, what color comes the closest to 8N
Answer:	Hi there! If you typically use 8N, then our 8 Medium Blonde in our Clairol Root Touch Up Permanent Crème should come pretty close! Since hair is very individual, it's always a good idea to perform a strand and allergy test each time you color to preview your results. Question:	Does anyone leave it on longer then recommend time. Is that safe. Recommend time doesn't seem to hold color for me. Thanks
Answer:	Hi yes I leave it on longer about 20 minutes. It depends on if your hair is porous and grabs the color quickly. It works great though for quick touch up for roots!
Question:	Description says 1 pack but in parentheses "pack of 2". What is it
Answer:	It is 1 pack of 2(boxes). So you are getting 2 boxes
Question:	do you have to use the entire content of chemicals or can you use partial for touch ups and use the rest later
Answer:	I always use partial, I've been doing this for years with no issues.
