You may be 'unlucky' and buy from a company that has had their supply in storage for years, or you may be 'lucky' and get some fresh supply. I bought mine about a year ago (2019) and it says 2021 expiration on the container. BUT - think about it - this is not some naturally biodegradable product like fruit and vegetables...it's a combination of chemicals - is it really going to 'expire' ever? Many manufacturers put expiration dates on products so you'll throw them away and buy more of the same. I'm no scientist but I'd bet these deodorants will comfortably last 10+ years. It may lose some of its aroma or effectiveness over 5-10 years but that's about it.

The scent absolutely stays on your skin. It keeps my skin moist and smelling delicious all day. I love love love it. I only use it twice a week for a deep exfoliation before I shave. FYI never use any sugar scrub after a fresh shave, it can irritate the open pores. Anyway, the scent is scrumptious and long lasting and it deeply moisturizes and exfoliates. I highly recommend it.
