Answer:	I leave it on for about three minutes and then push my cuticles down with a rubber topped cuticle stick. You can also used a wooden stick with a bit of cotton ball fluff wrapped on the flat end. Push gently and you should see the cuticle peel away. I might repeat this if I have done this in awhile.

Answer:	It is made of some kind of plastic with an abrasive covering which is the same on all 4 sides. It is firm to use. It is not very abrasive so I only use for rough edges on the ends of my nails,
