Answer:	I don’t know that you are doing anything wrong measure your plate and then measure your opening. Sometimes our plates just don’t fit because they are just a tiny bit too big. Hope this helps. I have all the different size pages and I have a few plates that will not fit in any size pocket page they make. I went to photography pages for the big ones.

Question:	Do you have to put a topcoat on first
Answer:	Obligatory "I have not actually purchased this product" but I do make my own decals on silicone, and silicone is silicone, so I feel okay answering anyway.Things to consider: 1. are you building the image front to back or back to front? 2. do you care about bulk/thickness? 3. are you using the decals immediately or saving them for later use/giving them to a friend/etc.? 4. do you for some reason want or need to keep the mat perfectly smooth as when you bought it? ... Let's take them one at a time.1. If you are creating a decal from scratch, you're probably building it back to front. That is to say, you start with the background, let it dry, then layer foreground colors on top of that. If you're starting with a stamped image and then coloring it in, then you're building the image front to back; you stamp the outlines, then whatever you put over that is the side facing your nail, not the side facing the world. ... Which brings us to number 2.2. Think about the layers you have below and above the decal you're creating. Probably a base coat, then one or two layers of polish, then the decal, then at least one top coat. That's already potentially a lot of bulk. So how many layers of "clear" you have sandwiching the decal can contribute potentially more depth/bulk than you're comfortable lugging around on your nail if you're not used to it. If this is a concern, then consider only doing one layer of clear. You know you are going to need a top coat to seal it onto your nail regardless, so it doesn't really matter if you put a top coat on the decal itself before applying it. You are almost definitely going to need ONE layer of clear on one side or the other, though, to hold it together. When I'm making decals, I'm usually building them front to back, which means that if I start with a clear coat on the mat, that's adding extra bulk for no reason. I'll stamp an outline on there, let it dry, color it in, let it dry, paint on clear to hold it together, let it dry, then transfer to nail, clean up edges with tiny scissors and/or acetone on a detail brush, then seal it on with top coat. If I'm building the image back to front, then yes I'd start with clear, then paint the background, then the foreground, etc. It ends up the same way. If you're not concerned about the extra bulk/layers, then there's no harm in sandwiching it, and it does protect the image better.3. Going off of that, if you're creating the decals for immediate use, then they don't really need the extra layer of protection. But if you're creating them now and saving them for later, or giving them to a friend or something, then yes sandwich it between two layers of clear, because exposing the raw image to pretty much anything it'd come in contact with in storage or transport is an unnecessary risk after you put in all that detail work and love.4. Regarding keeping the mat smooth and what you're using it for. Even the most highly rated silicone stampers have to be buffed before use, because silicone is suuuuper smooth. If you're trying to pick up an image from a stamping plate, especially, it helps to buff the surface of the silicone with an emery board/sandpaper/melamine sponge/etc. before use. Some silicone won't even pick up the image unless you buff some texture into it first, increase the surface area to boost adhesion. Unless this particular surface is for some reason doubling for something where you need it as smooth as possible, like candy-making for example, I highly recommend buffing it before use. Because if you're only using the clear coat to make sure the image sticks, then you can cut out a layer of bulk by just using a "stickier" (in this case rougher) surface in the first place. Also if you're using the same silicone mat for nail polish and things you intend to eat, you have bigger problems than how many coats of clear to use in homemade decals.Hope this helps!

Answer:	No I have used a lot of times an it doesn't bubble or warp. The only thing is that glitter nail polish will stick to it it is very hard to get off the mat

Answer:	Well this is a question for BMC. I washed my mat in very hot water and then dried and rolled it up The creases will eventually come out.

Answer:	Hello Adelita, if you stand the plate (as in the Amazon's photo of it), the images are nearly 5/8 of an inch wide, and 3/4 of an inch tall at the pointy bottom corners. If you ignore these corners and run the height measurement in the very middle of the image, then it is 11/16 of an inch tall.If you have long and narrow nails, these images will cover well. Answer:	The stamping tool is not included. Amazon has several of them that are nice. The stamping tool is reusable, so are the nail plates. For the stamping tool, use a lint roller to take the polish off, works like a charm! For the nail plates use nail polish remover on a q-tip to make sure you get the polish out of the crevices.

Answer:	You want to use a polish that is thicker to get a good pick up with the stamper. Some mainstream polishes work like Sinful Colors black. If the polish covers good in one coat it should work good for stamping. There are stamping polishes that are formulated to be thicker.

Answer:	No, just the plates and organizer
Question:	Would this set be good for a 15 year old to start with? If not, what would you suggest
Answer:	This set is lovely but focused on hearts and romance... think bridal or Valentine's. Perhaps MASH Set of 25 Nail Art Polish Stamp Stamping Image Plates 51-75 would offer more variety. Plus the Pueen are frequently received all scratched and I have never received any Mash plates scratched and they transfer the images crisply.
Question:	Are these stamping plates better or the same as Born Pretty plates
Answer:	I have never tried the Born Pretty plates but I did order the Pueen collection and they did not work for me. Granted I did not use stamping polish. I sent them back for a refund.
Question:	Can you use any regular polish with these plates, or do you need to buy a specific type
Answer:	Yes, you can use most any regular polish. Usually one coat products are best like Sally Hansen Insta-Dri or something similar from other brands like Sinful Colors or Pure Ice, just to name a few. You can buy special stamping polishes but they are not necessary. There is some trial and error involved to see what polish works for you and what look you want.
