Answer:	It is very well designed, and slices off just the right amount, but you do have to be careful. This is my approach that shaves off the max. amount per session and leaves me pain free: 1) Soak feet 30 minutes then dry thoroughly 2) gently pull the shaver across fresh skin next to the callus - it will not cut you on the fresh skin and by doing this step establishes what that feels like on fresh skin 3) continue to pull the shaver across your skin and slowly move in on the callus at its' smallest point - you should be cutting of small bits and the most you should feel at any point is a slight prick 4) continue attacking the callus from all sort of various angles in small bits, and when you feel up for it take a long pull across the larger calluses and marvel at the huge slices that fly off. If your feet hurt or you have bright red marks, then you tried too hard. At most, your feet might feel a little sensitive after you're done, and they should not hurt next day. And yes, you can cut yourself; I did that once because I was not paying attention! Watch what you are doing and attack the white areas first (the callus really turns white and puckers up after you soak your feet).
