Answer:	I use about 1 part castile to 3 or 4 parts water. It isn't too fussy. Depends on how thick you want your foam.

Answer:	First off, I've been using Dr. Bronner's soap for 30 years and have loved it, but Quinn's performs just as well as a cleaner. My wife says it's gentler on her skin, has more 'slip' to it, and leaves less residue than Bronner's. And Quinn's smells FANTASTIC. No knock on Bronner's--it's a great soap--it's just that Quinn's is an amazing one.

Answer:	It should not smell like peppermint. I purchased a two bottle set of the unscented product. One of the bottles was unscented and the other smelled of lavender. Some people may not have noticed the difference but I have a diagnoses of fragrance hypersensitivity along with asthma and allergies and as soon as I opened the second bottle I sensed the lavender fragrance. The thing is I've purchased this product many times with no issue. I wanted to believe this was a one off matter but reading your question makes me wonder if this is more widespread.

Answer:	I don't know contents, but know the "unscented" is very mild & I can use from head to toe, shampoo & body wash & doesn't agrivate my psoriasis.

Answer:	Absolutely! 1 cup Castile soap, 1cup baking soda, 1/3 cup salt, 2 cups distilled water (warmed), essential oils (if you want a scent). Only laundry soap we use now. I use vinegar in the softener dispenser. Just don’t mix vinegar & the baking soda. One is an acid the other a base and cancel each other out.

Answer:	I want to say yes, but I think the previous answer is very wrong saying that "plant-derived material" is inherently environmentally friendly. Arsenic is derived from plants. Strychnine is plant derived. While its nice that the manufacturing process is from "natural products" this has no bearing on whether a product is environmentally friendly in use, specifically while camping. I'd stick to products specifically for that purpose. I used to use a product called Soap-sudz, I think, but I can' find it on Amazon

Answer:	I don't use it on my face, but I use it on my hands and body. I sometimes wash my hair and bathe with Dr. Bronner's castile soap. It can dry my hair more than I want since I have dry hair. I assumed this soap might be drying as well on my face, so I don't use it there. I don't feel as if it dries my hands, but I often use lotion after I wash my hands. Question:	Whats the best dr. bronners liquid soap: tea tree, peppermint, almond???etc
Answer:	Lavender, because it has an aromatherapy type of calming effect. If you want a wake up fresh alert effect peppermint. Tea Tree has a kind of woods and forest scent that can be soothing as well, but lavender is the best at least in my opinion. There was another type that is not made anymore that I wish they still had and I think you can get it from the Australian Dr. Bronners and that is Sandalwood. It was truly the best and don't think it was a patchouli hippy scent, it wasn't. It had a fresh and very clean woody scent. The only way you can get that is order from the Austrailian company there with a check or money order. I wish the USA company would bring the Sandalwood back.

Answer:	Hi RB: Here are the detailed instructions for opening the pump/dispenser:1) Screw the pump onto the bottle, hand-turning the ribbed collar, to the right (clockwise) as tight as you can. It is very important that it screwed on tight as this allows the "beak" to unlock.2) Holding the collar and lower base of the pump with one hand and the "beak" with the other, turn the "beak" to the left (counter-clockwise).3) You will feel the "beak" begin to unscrew. Answer:	Hi: I would be happy to provide some clarification for you.First, benzisothiazolinone (BIT) is used as a preservative in our products at a 0.005% concentration.We develop, consult, and test our products with a team of PhDs and MDs.Without a preservative, our products would barely last 3 months on the shelf. With benzisothiazolinone, we are able to guarantee a shelf life of two years from the date of purchase. Benzisothiazolinone is the safest preservative approved for use in laundry products. By law, all laundry products must use a preservative from the EPA's approved list. Benzisothiazolinone has the lowest risk of side effects at the recommended concentration on that list. In 2005, benzisothiazolinone underwent a review process by the EPA to determine its re-registration eligibility for use in a range of products and applications. After considering the overall information on its toxicity, uses, and environmental effects, the EPA concluded that it posed no harm to the population. It is approved for use in cosmetics and items that come into contact with food. It is approved for use by Whole Foods in cleaners and cosmetics. It is approved on their Eco Scale. It is also approved by the EPA's Design for the Environment (DfE) as a safe, effective, environmentally-friendly ingredient.It is 100% biodegradable.It is often used with Methylisothiazolinone, which has a higher risk profile and is less environmentally friendly. EWG is a good resource for ingredient information, however it must be kept in context. At 100% concentration, the score of BIT is a "C" on EWG.org. They do not measure what that number is when at 0.005%. Additionally, the majority of the data used by EWG.org to determine the grade of BIT is when it is utilized as an active cleaner.
