I do wash mine in the dishwasher in spring and before I store them for fall. you can help extend the wood handles with some kind of wood oil a couple times a year. I use the same spray on oil I use on the wooden furniture I have. It is made by pledge and it is in a spray bottle. I can not remember the name and I haven't gotten any for this year yet.

Answer:	regular size. but note you have to cut them in 1/2. but they make a good corn dog. I have two of these machines. because my three grandchildren love the waffles i make from them. how i use it to get even spread i set a timer for five minutes. and in two and one half mnute's I turn the whole machine upside down. and then come out perfect. your not supposed to but it works better. had the two machines for over two years now. and no problem with them. just make sure you coat the molds after every second or third use. so they come out without sticking. personally I use left over bacon grease. seems to work well. hope this helps. just my personnel opion
