When I first put it on, I put my oldest in it and she fit fine. As long as you wrap it tight, it will hold weight. Answer:	I would say they are! We have the same ... however I did notice that after a couple months the “non skid” part on the bottom of the slippers wear and became “skid” But a simple wash with the clothes fixed it!

Question:	Can the pillow be used in lieu of the full infant insert
Answer:	Hi there! If you are wearing a newborn in a LILLEbaby Essentials, you will need to use an infant insert. That will allow you to wear your baby starting at 7lbs. The Infant Pillow is recommended for use with the ESSENTIALS when baby has developed strong neck control and does not need the additional support of the Infant Insert, usually around 4 months. Remember, the COMPLETE carriers do not require an infant insert to be used starting at 7lbs. I hope this helps!

Just like our HIPSTER™ PLUS, we paid special attention to baby’s hip positioning when designing the infant insert. The unique angled pillow base keeps your newborn’s hips in a natural fetal position. Our double padded back panel ensures proper support for baby’s curved spine and our thick head support ensures baby’s head and neck are protected.

Note: The purpose of the infant insert is to protect baby’s soft spine and keep baby’s head from falling backwards. Since newborns develop quite differently at the stage, we don’t want to offer a max age limit, as long as baby is not able to hold up his or her head, an infant insert is needed for the double shoulder front facing in position. If you want to carry your newborn with just the hip seat in our newborn hold, an infant insert is not necessary.

Answer:	It will fit a 3L bladder with quite a bit of maneuvering. It’s prettg tight, though.

Answer:	Ours definitely fit in the overhead bin, even in one of those smaller planes with 2 seats on 1 side and 1 seat on the other with tiny overhead compartments. When empty it folds fairly flat. It was a great alternative to a stroller, we used it to carry our one year old through the airport, as well as snowshoeing around Colorado.
