I’ve used these in 4 generations of Lone Peaks and in Timps and an older Altra road shoe, sized to my men’s 10.5 foot and medium Currexs. Basically I trim nothing from the sides and only trim a blunt line across the front. The resulting inside fit of the toe box is about 95% full. There are some small gaps on the sides but unnoticeable underfoot. The heel and mid foot are perfect.
