Answer:	Yes they do - that is exactly how we use the parent units - always powered on using their wall adapters.
Question:	Has anyone tried this across two separate buildings? My mother has dementia and lives in a cottage just 10 feet next to our house. She has fallen, forgot that she has a Lifeline, and just yells out to me (fortunately she got up ok that time). She keeps her TV on all the time so I am also wondering whether we would hear
Answer:	Was caregiver for in laws had 2 of these front of house living room and bedroom could hear them talking ALL the time even over the very load radio I live in a house that's about 500 ft from them have recommended these to anyone taking care of the elderly hospice has even recommend them to others after seeing how mine worked just be prepared they pick up EVERYTHING

Answer:	I would think so, but I'm not sure. Unless you can put them on different channels, you wouldn't know which kid was making the noise. I wouldn't buy these again anyway. The parent unit frequently loses the signal from the baby unit and makes an annoying beeping sound. It's frustrating when that's what wakes you up in the middle of the night.
Question:	Can the two parent units be used to communicate with one another? (Like a walkie talkie so parents can talk without being heard on the baby unit
Answer:	Great IDEA for a feature, but as far as I'm aware, the "baby unit" is always in the communication loop. However, as I think about this, it might be possible to lower the volume on the baby unit to the point it can't be heard in the nursery so the parents COULD talk on the other 2 units. It's late tonight, but I'll check this theory out for you sometime tomorrow & re-edit this answer so we'll know for sure. ***stay tuned*** -----------Update 7/23/13: Checked for you this morning & unfortunately, the "baby" unit's LOWEST volume level is still audible. So, no, you can't communicate between the two "parent" units without the "baby" unit broadcasting the sound. Even though you can talk to one another, "baby" can always hear. Hope that helped you!
