Answer:	I don't see why not. Volume controls can be raised to hear any noise in the other room. My unit came with two cameras, so you can put each in a different part of their rooms in order to see everything possible. With two separate units they would also be able to talk to eachother like an intercom. Also they can be left plugged in to an electrical outfit so you can monitor and charge the battery at the same time or you can unplug the units and carry them around with you in order to monitor while you're doing other things. I like mine very much.

If one camera detects sound, the message "sounds alarm" will be shown across the screen, and it will then direct to the camera which picks up the sound to help you find the source of the sound. Answer:	Here is a solution. Use another IR light source. For $10-$20+ you can buy an external IR source. I have two windows facing my backyard. In one window I have the external IR lights illuminating the backyard. The other window is the YI camera. You can not use the camera and IR source in the same window. I use this IR source ($15) - JC Infrared Illuminator 4 Led High Power LED IR Array Illuminator IR Lamp Wide Angle for Night Vision CCTV and IP Camera and here is one you can use outdoors - Univivi Infrared Illuminator, 850nm 6 LEDs 90 Degree Wide Angle IR Illuminator for Night Vision,Waterproof LED Infrared Light for IP Camera,CCTV Security Camera. I would rather have the camera indoors behind a window. This IR solution using another IR iluminator source works.

Cables within 3 feet (36 inches) of the edge of the crib should be covered. Consider which outlet to use. The outlet should be at least 36 inches (0.9 meters) away from the crib to ensure no exposed cables will be within baby's reach.

Answer:	The Smart Sock and Base Station connect via Bluetooth low energy. WiFi is only needed if you would like to use the app to view live readings and view them remotely. The Base Station is the primary notification system, so if your WiFi goes down or your phone dies (or you don't have it at all), the Base Station is still designed to notify. While WiFi is not required, it does make for a better user experience. HotSpot WiFi is not recommended.
