Also if opened just past 90 degrees, they will stay open till given a gentil push then they self close. The product is very well engineered, well built and nicely finished. As a mechanical engineer I can see no wat to improve this product. I would recommend this gate all.

Answer:	The slats won't be an issue but pushing the gate open on either end will be an issue. For example I have my lil 5lb dog in my room if I don't want her to get out or if I have gate up in kitchen and don't want her getting in the kitchen YOU HAVE TO HAVE A CORNER OR WALL SO SHE CAN NOT PUSH THE GATE ENDS. I wish I was able to include a picture but I think you get my point, the gate sections slide super easy

Answer:	Yes. My daughter is 4 currently and has been opening this gate since she was 3. She lifts the bottom of the gate with her foot. She is however very tall and very quick witted for her age.

Answer:	We used some of the extensions from another gate (we’d bought 3 of this kind) and with the extra extensions in it the gate was not very sturdy. I think it’s only meant to be as wide as the max of 42”. We made it work for awhile but once our baby was old enough to stand and push/pull on it, it stopped working for us.

Answer:	We had someone install square, solid (4x4”) posts inside the top and bottom of our stairs to just use as baby/pet gate supports.

Answer:	I’m not sure what you mean by angle. One of the 3 gates that I installed was in a hallway that had 1” molding on both sides of the floor. The top of the gate is 38”across , the bottom of the gate is 36” across. There is enough adjustment in the mounting bolts that this is not a problem. The gate is level and works well.
