User questions & answers
Question: | Would these work for dresser drawers |
Answer: | Hello! Honestly it depends on the style of dresser drawer. It should work on any dresser drawer that has dividers between each 'shelf' of the dresser. I.e. if the drawers are removed from the dresser, if there are dividers still in the dresser, the locks could work. |
Question: | Do these rotate? My house had some that rotate and they are easy to turn them so they dont luck the drawer anymore |
Answer: | These don't rotate out of locking position by design, but yes you can. We have them on cabinets when the grandkids (who live in Germany) are here. Their visits are very seldom, obviously, so only once a year we need them. After you install by following the instructions, you can then remove the outboard screw (closest to door edge) of the latch and loosen the other. Then rotate the latch around the 2nd screw until the latch is 90 degrees from it's original position (hook now facing door side edge instead of top edge). Mark and drill a hole in the empty slot to hold the latch in this position. Install the screw. If you installed the latch the correct distance from the door edge per the instructions, it should not interfere with the frame or an adjacent cabinet door when you open/close the door. This solution keeps the latch from engaging, stores all the parts so you don't have to frantically search for them, and re-activation requires only removing the screw from the hole you just drilled, rotating the latch, reinstalling the screw and snugging both up. Easy peasy. (We did this with our own children some 30+ yrs ago, so I'm a bit surprised the manufacturer doesn't include similar instruction.) |
Question: | How long are these latches from where they attach to the cabinet to the tip |
Answer: | Good morning. We apologize for our delayed response. The total length of the latch from base to tip is approximately 3 inches. For more information, you can reach us directly by emailing [email protected] using 'Amazon' as the email subject. |
Question: | do you use adhesive or screws to attach these |
Answer: | You have to use the screws... The adhesive is supposed to make it easier to install (still a pain) |

User questions & answers
Question: | Where made |
Answer: | Hello. This is made in our Dorel facility in China. |
Question: | How do you remove these without damaging the cabinet |
Answer: | There is removal instructions provided within the instruction manual, but if I remember correctly it says you can use floss or fishing line to remove from cabinet and any remaining adhesive can be rolled off by hand. |
Question: | How do you remove the adhesive from a cabinet |
Answer: | You can carefully slide dental floss behind the adhesive to release it. You can wipe off any residue with a soft cloth and warm, soapy water. Or you can roll it off with your finger. |
Question: | I know the magnetic locks need a 1inch space to adhere to. Can these locks adhere to a 1/2 inch space? The inside of the cabinet doors have a 1/2 bord |
Answer: | Hello! We only recommend installing the locks on a 1 inch space. |

User questions & answers
Question: | How thick of cabinets/drawers will these work on |
Answer: | I found this YouTube video showing how they work, once installed. Looks cool! I'm totally getting some of these things. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LYz0jnla_QI |
Question: | Does anyone have a picture of what these look like installed |
Answer: | I bough my set of 8 from an orange big box store. They had extra keys for sale. One commenter here stated he/she glued a rare earth magnet ( probably neodymium) to a bracelet and used that. This metal/magnet is widely available on line. Ounce for ounce, they are MUCH stronger than an ordinary magnet. But be aware of the magnets' polarity. Mine are circular, presumably one side is the north magnetic end, the other side, the south magnetic end. Since the magnet inside the latch is fixed in position, one side of your bracelet will work; the other won't. Test it before you glue. |
Question: | I cant imagine having to get the key out to unlock the drawers in the kitchen every time I need something. Is it really more convenient than the latch |
Answer: | You have to drill holes on the insides of the cabinet doors, NOT the outside. |
Question: | Do you have to drill holes on the outside of your cabinets to use this |
Answer: | Thank you very much for your inquiry. There are a total of 16 hooks on each side of the stand and if you are placing 2 pairs on each hook, you can put 64 pairs of earrings on this stand. Should you have further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us at any time again. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Will this lock work on a side-by-side refrigerator |
Answer: | Yes. I am able to use it on multiple different levers and handles. |
Question: | Will this work on French doors |
Answer: | I installed these in a classroom on kitchen cabinet doors under the sink. If the hardware of the French doors are close enough together it could potentially work. If the gap is much farther apart than under sink cabinet doors I works day it would not work. |
Question: | Is this actually a 2 pack? 2 of the reviews say it's only one lock, but the description says 2 pack |
Answer: | I’m pretty sure mine are 2 packs, although I’ve sent all of them into amazon warehouses and do not have any to check personally. |
