3. Peel off the adhesive film

4. Stick the striker plate to the frame

5. Stick the lock to the door or drawer (Test it for screws and nails before you stick the lock if it's effected by a nail or a screw inside the door)

6. Close the cabinet door or drawer and check for proper fit. Can be repositioned immediately

7. IMPORTANT: There must be 1/8 to 1/4 inches of space between the lock and striker plate when locked. If the door fits tightly, it can not unlock

8. Once aligned PRESS FIRMLY for 5-10 seconds on to the locks and latches for better bonding

9. MOST IMPORTANT: DO NOT TEST it right away; leave it unlocked and allow 24 hours for adhesive to dry before usage for maximum strength

When attaching the flat striker plate to the cabinet or dresser frame, please leave enough space so that the door or drawer can open just slightly (1/8 –1/4 inch) when locked. This space allows the lock to clear the striker when being opened using the magnetic key. Question:	Is there a way to disengage the locks when not in use
Answer:	yes. There is a 'switch' under the latch. If it is down the locks will engage, but if you lift the switch, it will keep the latch down and prevent it from engaging. You will actually see the latch depress and not rise again after the switch is raised.
Question:	locks work fine before installation,but once installed on door it does not work.why not
Answer:	This can happen if you install the lock too close to metal (like a metal knob/handle, screws, or metal buried inside the wood). In fact, I ran into this problem during my install. I recommend using the magnet key to check for any metal bits in drawer faces and doors prior to installation. If the lock is installed too close to metal that's on the surface, or buried inside of a drawer face or door, the locking mechanism won't engage because the magnet inside the lock will be attracted to the metal, preventing the lever from popping up and snagging the catch. I ran into this problem even though I installed the lock away from the metal handle and screws. After removing the metal handle and screws from the drawer face, I still experienced the issue. However, if I removed the lock from the drawer face it worked fine (the lever would pop up when the magnet key wasn't applied). I finally determined that there were small bits of metal buried inside the drawer face (probably small woodworking nails/staples), and confirmed it by using the magnet key to move along the wood, feeling it being pulled in various places. I simply moved the lock to a different location away from where I felt the pull on the magnet, and that solved the problem.
