Question:	i want to use this to keep a cabinet door shut during an earthquake, any thoughts
Answer:	If you're able to install this successfully then I think it should keep a cabinet door secure in the event of an earthquake. The problem I had was that the lock broke during installation, snapped clean off! I was unable to install the product, but the glue was very strong, if it had worked I'm sure it would have been secure.

Answer:	These locks probably won't work on a medecine cabinet. The lock set is to big.
Question:	Is the key holder an integral part of the mechanism, or just a handy place to keep the magnet
Answer:	The key holder is to help you from misplacing the key, so just helpful. The lock is all internal, or inside the cabnet, so yes there is no visible plastic.
Question:	I accidentally dropped my only key in the drawer and shut it. Any suggestions on how to get the drawer open without buying another key
Answer:	The system is magnetic. Frankly, we did not have any problems opening the cabinets where the lock was mounted, even with no key. I just didn't find these locks very useful at locking. I would suggest using a strong magnet to get it open. (In our home, we left it to the strong toddler, but that resulted in a broken lock :) )

Answer:	Yes and no, they also make a set that has two locks and two keys which is a nice option, if you want an actual key to put in a set location. That said any strongish magnet will work. I often will use one of the ones off of my refrigerator if I am opening a cabinet on that side of the room.

Answer:	I bough my set of 8 from an orange big box store. They had extra keys for sale. One commenter here stated he/she glued a rare earth magnet ( probably neodymium) to a bracelet and used that. This metal/magnet is widely available on line. Ounce for ounce, they are MUCH stronger than an ordinary magnet. But be aware of the magnets' polarity. Mine are circular, presumably one side is the north magnetic end, the other side, the south magnetic end. Since the magnet inside the latch is fixed in position, one side of your bracelet will work; the other won't. Test it before you glue.
Question:	I cant imagine having to get the key out to unlock the drawers in the kitchen every time I need something. Is it really more convenient than the latch

Answer:	They are about the same. It took my son like a few weeks to be able to open the door but he made so much noise trying to turn the handle right it gave me time to catch him . But he did not remove it.

Answer:	It's possible yes it could work for an Alzeheimers patient. If they have difficulty using fine motor skills. As you have to squeeze & turn at same time. My 2 year old figured it very easily so it is an easier door lock than others. I had a relative who had Alz and I would probably recommend something a bit harder to manipulate. Hope that helps.

Answer:	I don't think it will fit right. It doesn't fit my regular knobs in my hallway.

Answer:	Yes this is 4 latches so you can put them on four separate cabinets or drawers
Question:	Can this be installed without nailing into the cabinet
Answer:	I used screws to fasten to the inside of the cabinet doors -- they do not show when the cabinet doors are closed. They work very well without marring the look of the cabinets. I am not sure how you could fasten them without the screws.
Question:	We have latch locks that are way too long. how far can the door open with these installed
Answer:	Just wide enough to allow me to press down on the release -- maybe 1/2" -- not enough for my dog to get her nose into the cabinet.
