I also sleep w/3 heating pads year round bcuz I have fibromyalgia & neuropathy. havent noticed that it does either (keep u cool or keep u warm). I will say I absolutely LOVE mine because it helps support the back, neck & knees when you are sleeping. It also helps minimize morning headaches & stiff neck. Plus it can b folded back as a back rest when your watching TV. Hope that helps. If not, please feel free to white me back. But I absolutely LOVE mine & hate it when I'm on vacation & cant take it with me. When you 1st get it, IG comes vacuum sealed n a smaller package. Once you take it out of the vacuum seal, its good to go & the cover unzips & is machine washable.

Answer:	You can definitely machine wash the pillow cover, but for the pillow itself, I do not think you can wash it. I will choose to put this maternity pillow under the sun after long time sleeping with it.
