I also sleep w/3 heating pads year round bcuz I have fibromyalgia & neuropathy. havent noticed that it does either (keep u cool or keep u warm). I will say I absolutely LOVE mine because it helps support the back, neck & knees when you are sleeping. It also helps minimize morning headaches & stiff neck. Plus it can b folded back as a back rest when your watching TV. Hope that helps. If not, please feel free to white me back. But I absolutely LOVE mine & hate it when I'm on vacation & cant take it with me. When you 1st get it, IG comes vacuum sealed n a smaller package. Once you take it out of the vacuum seal, its good to go & the cover unzips & is machine washable.

Answer:	I got mine yesterday and slept with it. I have the gray one. The material (kind of velour-like) made me hot. My neck area was sweaty. It kept me warm here on the East Coast where most are putting on their heat already. I have not since I run hot. This pillow kept me warm and with hip/back issues, I did not have to repeatedly change positions overnight and lessened my pain! This pillow is a keeper! I will simply get a different cover (there was a 30% off coupon in the box for covers).
