Answer:	If they are really annoying and it's tiring to constantly shushing them then maybe :) The shusher slowwwwwwly say shusssssssh in a very calming manner repetitively. It has a 15 and 30 minute timer and acts as a white noise machine. For some adults it may, it is very relaxing

Answer:	No, we returned it as soon as I realized there are many apps for shushing that work even better without costing a whopping $35. I’m not cheap either, we have every expensive baby thing, the organic Snuggle Me sensory pillow, the crappy mamaroo swing (also returned), como tomo bottle, etc. I felt incredibly duped and quite frankly a little stupid for buying this before looking for an app. Currently I play rain and such for our babe to sleep. Sometimes I use a shushing app. The people staying how $35 isn’t a lot... $35 for this product feels like robbery... just sayin... get the app or spend money on a portable sound machine that has a wider variety of sounds

Answer:	It sounds like someone going "shhhhhhhhhh" in a long, drawn out way. There is a momentary pause between each "shush" so it is not a continuous sound like the hair dryer. When my baby is really upset, nothing is as effective as the hair dryer. Period. But the shusher is obviously more convenient--no cord, no blowing air, etc. I like the shusher but at this point, I use the HoMedics Sound Spa on the Go even more--the white noise function can be turned up loud and it's small enough to go with us anywhere. Plus, unlike the shusher, I can attach it to her car seat. And it's 1/3 the price. Just my two cents...

Answer:	I don't see any way to do this, if the unit is on there is sound playing. You can turn the projection on and off during use but the audio can only be turned down, not off.

Answer:	No you can't mute the sound. It does have 8 different sound levels to choose from though. We keep ours on the lowest setting usually so it's just a soft background noise. During family gatherings when it tends to be a bit more noisy in the house we will turn it up a little to help drown out the noise outside the bedroom.

Question:	What are the 8 "white noise" pre-set sounds? Is one of them campfire?? (Or is there a way to load a "fire" sound
Answer:	There are I believe 11 preset sounds. Unfortunately, a campfire is not one of them. You can not load any new sounds. I use the wind sounds a lot more like ocean waves and although that is another sound I like the wind sound better. I do have to say though that I absolutely love this machine. My daughter sleeps so much better with it. I love that you can preset it to go on and off when you want it to.
Question:	Does there have to be 1 min. between programs? I would like for it to change from red (sleep) to green (wake) without turning off in between
Answer:	Great question! If there is any overlap, the second program will override the first. For example, if your bedtime program runs until 8:05am, and your morning program is set to start at 8:00am... your Rest will switch from bedtime to morning at 8:00am. Question:	I'm interested in getting 2 - for our 3 year old son & our baby's nursery. How does the app work with 2 units? Can they be programmed independantly
Answer:	Yes each device is managed separately in the Hatch app, really easy/inuitive. I actually have one for my toddler and newborn too - it's the only sound machine out there that I came across that you can program by time!:)
Question:	Will my kid override me? How limited can his options be from inside his room? Can he change it after one of my programs begins
Answer:	It is possible to control the light and sound settings directly from the device, BUT in the newest app update they added a "Toddler Lock" feature that fixes this problem. During program run-times you can disable all controls on the device itself, so our kids can't override our programs. It's been very helpful for us.
