The rayon ones aren't the best for swaddling (because they are so silky soft) but the other cotton ones by Aden and Anais are excellent for swaddling.

Answer:	I have both:- the muslin swaddle I used for swaddling, now as a sheet (they're very generous in size, so I can even tuck it under crib mattress), they are great for stroller as a shade, too (since are heavier than the bamboo). - the bamboo ones (as the baby is 10 months now) I find more versatile - I got the grey 3-pack: one I wear as a shawl and use it when I nurse outside (I tie it in a knot at the back of my neck) so (thanks to its big size) it gives great privacy even with babies hands all over, and also I use this one in a carseat as a blanket. The second one I keep at home - in crib - works great as a blanket and security blanket - my daughter loves to cuddle it just before she falls asleep or she uses it to rub her eyes when she's tired (which is nice, so I don't have to worry about scratches on her face). The third one I use the least - in the summer I kept it in a bassinet stroller when we were out (I do a lot a stroller walking), now that it's cold I don't to get it to use that often anymore.So, though call, I'd buy both, but if you must chose just one, that I'd chose the bamboo. AND for cotton muslin I'd get SummerInfant form Walmarts - there are 2 blankets for under 15$ (those are quite smaller than Aden and Anais, but worked just as fine for swaddling - since are smaller, you won't be able to use them as crib sheets).I also was deciding between dream blanket in bamboo or cotton....I got the bamboo one, it's still big for the baby, it's quite heavy (4ply) - but is very soft - I keep it on my bad and cover baby when she's in my bed.
