Answer:	Everything comes apart. The best way is to start with the base (long food part) and attach to the green piece. You have to squeeze it in and if it’s full it’s quite a challenge to make sure you do it when it’s empty. Once those are together, the spoon twists on and the lid just pops on and off.

Answer:	The only thing I can think of is to check and see if the ring is set in evenly and it is nice and flat.Make sure that it sits tight on the bottom and there is no silicone no top which would prevent a flush seal.You might want to gently rub the top of the ring with sandpaper to remove any possible residue.
