Answer:	haha, I had hard time with it too, that's why I didn't like this feeder. You have to grab the middle part on both sides and slide it down-it's not easy, use force. Imagine it after baby ate banana or berries, all sticky. That's why I swithched to other brand, silicone and easy to open. Well, just my opinion... Good luck with this one.
