| Answer: | I would wait until baby can sit up unassisted for at least 30 seconds and is very sturdy. I bought this for my son right before 4 months and he could also sit up with minimal support but he just wasn't ready for this product because he wasn't sturdy enough yet. I can definitely understand why they say the product is 6+ months because most babies really cannot sit up well enough unassisted for long periods of time until after that. Otherwise, baby will kinda flop to one side in this chair. |

| Answer: | I didn't have the original but 4 of my sisters in law did and they all agree that this one is MUCH better. It's height adjustable, clips onto a chair securely and grows with the baby. Our daughter has been using it since 3 months and is now 8 months and we use it as her high chair. One of the best baby purchases we made. |
