The ring, nipple and vent tube that comes with this can fit on any bottle, but must be used together. This nipple does not have a valve on it so you cannot use it with a normal ring. | Answer: | The issue with microwaving baby’s milk (formula or breast) is that the microwave can heat unevenly creating hot spots that the baby can burn themselves on. I always microwaved my baby’s milk, just do it in intervals and mix in between to avoid hot spots. 15 seconds... mix... 15 seconds... mix. Also, never put plastic in the microwave for a baby, even if it says microwave safe. Just heat in a glass or ceramic mug and transfer to the bottle (this also gives you another opportunity to mix it up and get rid of any hot spots) |

Advanced Anti-Colic nipples are compatible only with Advanced Anti-Colic bottles. Closer to Nature bottles and nipples are not interchangeable with Advanced Anti-Colic bottles and nipples.
Using the wrong nipple on your Advanced Anti-Colic bottle will reduce the effectiveness of the anti-colic system and may cause your bottles to leak.
Identifying Anti-Colic Nipples
The Anti-Colic Nipples are clearly labeled with an 'Anti-Colic' mark on the nipple and the packaging has a teal background to help identify the range. The Advanced Anti-colic nipples are not compatible with Closer to Nature bottles.
Replacement Nipples
The Advanced Anti-Colic Nipples are available in three flow rates, slow, medium and fast. The flow rate can be located on the actual nipple in the form of a number:
- 1 is slow flow
- 2 is medium flow
- 3 is fast flow

Less Gas
Babies may develop colic symptoms if they take in too much air during feeding. With its unique anti-colic venting system, our Advanced Anti-Colic bottle helps stop air from mixing with milk. Air is drawn through the vents in the venting wheel, down the venting tube and out of the star valve into the air space at the base of the bottle, meaning 80% fewer colic symptoms such as gas, reflux and fussing.
Less Spit Up
The venting tube has a heat sensing strip that changes color if the milk is too hot. Dip the tube for 10 seconds to see the feed temperature. A pink strip shows that the feed is too hot. Leave to cool down further before feeding your baby.

Go with the flow
We offer different flow rates to keep up with your growing baby. Every baby is different but as a guide we suggest slow flow for 0+ months, medium flow for 3+ months and fast flow for 6+ months. Signs of needed to move up a flow rate are if it takes longer than 20 minutes to finish a bottle, baby tugs at the nipple or falls asleep mid-bottle.
Slow Flow
We suggest slow flow nipples for newborns and for those babies below 3 months. This is just a guide as every baby is different.
Medium Flow
Our medium flow nipple is suggested for babies 3 months plus but remember every baby is different so you may need to change nipples earlier than this guide.
