Answer:	haha, I had hard time with it too, that's why I didn't like this feeder. You have to grab the middle part on both sides and slide it down-it's not easy, use force. Imagine it after baby ate banana or berries, all sticky. That's why I swithched to other brand, silicone and easy to open. Well, just my opinion... Good luck with this one.
Question:	Some reviews mention that the net traps water. Is it possible to seal up the hole with glue? Or are there multiple seams causing water to enter
Answer:	It doesn't hold pureed food. You would put food in it that might be a choking hazard but would like them to have. I have put frozen mango, frozen banana, etc. It is good for teething as well.

Answer:	That isn't a cap. It's a representation of the feeder. If you look closely you should see the holes at the top. There are no caps. Just use it and wash it out.
