Question:	Is the back made of plastic
Answer:	No, it’s made of one layer of 100% polyester fabric. It can be machine washed but I’d not risk putting it in the dryer. It hangs dry very quickly. I’ve had others that have a plastic like backing and it came apart in the dryer.
Question:	How long are these bibs (from neck to bottom)? Some bibs pop up above the tray when my kiddo eats & it's SO annoying
Answer:	8.5 inches from neck to bottom. I like these bibs, they are easy to clean, including putting them in the washing machine. They hold up and don't stain. Depending on your highchair they may pop up but I don't feel like that is a problem for me.
Question:	Do these bibs have a fabric backing, with waterproof coating on front? Do they distort when put through the washing machine
Answer:	It's such a good question- it's not like the fabric of the bibs you're talking about. There is no fabric backing, it's all one layer of material similar to "parachute" material. They don't distort when you put them in the washing machine like the fabric backed bibs you're talking about. They're wonderful to wash! I wouldn't dry them though in a drier. I haven't tried it, and I just take mine out of the washer to dry.
Question:	do they fit a toddler
Answer:	I know this is old, but... I just bought these for my 17 month old since everyone said they'd fit a toddler. I should have checked the length though because they're definitely not long enough for my (medium height) toddler. There are better bibs for toddlers, though a bit more expensive. Disappointed in these (would work great for older babies though).

Question:	Should I wash before use
Answer:	Yes, they are waterproof.... if I were to provide children with mud and water etc.. it would give protection but may still need to change their clothes if it splatters on their pants, shoes, head etc.
Question:	Does this bib have Velcro or snaps
Answer:	No, they are thin plastic. They would melt. But they dry quickly just hanging up for the same reason.
Question:	Does it all plastic or fabric and plastic
Answer:	I haven’t personally tried it but just by the way the smock feels like a plastic material I would feel like an iron would melt the smock.

Answer:	Bumkins waterproof bibs may be washed in a dilute bleach solution or place in direct sunshine for a few hours. We recommend that the bibs not be left damp for prolonged periods. The bibs may be dried in the dryer to reduce residual dampness.

Question:	Is the bib breathable? The one that I got is not and my daughter's sweats a lot wearing it
Answer:	Yes, the bib is secured by velcro and is easily adjustable to fit a variety of sizes. I have used the same bib on a 5 month old and a 2.5 yr old with no problems.
Question:	Can my son take this off by himself? Indeed a bib that he *cannot* remove, because he always rips bibs off
Answer:	They wipe clean really easily. A quick rinse right after you use them usually does the trick. I don't think berries will stain them, but I'm not sure. So far I haven't had any issues with food stains, but I've only been serving pureed foods like squash, carrots, peas, apples and bananas.

Answer:	Yes, they are machine washable, but hang to dry.
Question:	If i buy it, can I put it in londry with other clothes. The first set that I bought of different ones, would not be clean
Answer:	My 16 mo. old has tried to pull the bibs off a couple of times but hasn't been able to. Not sure if that's because it's strong or we haven't given her much time to try. The velcro is a decent size though and stronger than other bibs we've used too so if anything, it will be harder for your 18 mo. old to pull it off.

Answer:	My grandsons body temp runs high as a norm but have never had an issue of him sweating in the bib I bought.

Answer:	well.. there is a one tie in the back. if he is old enough to reach, he can definitely reach for the tie in the back and undo the knot. my daughter is 14 months and she can do so. but can't take it off completely

Answer:	100% polyester, a plastic-y feel to it. Can be machine washed. The one I received does not look anything like the one in the picture. Mine is a solid pink background with Minnie designs. I wanted white, but that's not what I got.
Question:	How do you keep the bottom open to catch food
Answer:	I have put these through the washer (and accidentally the dryer once or twice) and they always come out just fine. Just make sure they are not bundled and wrapped into other clothing and that they are right side out and not overstuffed. If they are inside out or not enough room to properly clean, there is a possibility of not getting washed properly and coming out still dirty.
