Answer:	I’m not familiar with the Maman backpack but I can tell you that this one is fairly petite. Initially we bought this for my husband to use when with the baby but it’s such a tight fit on him that I just ended up taking over it. While it’s petite it is extremely spacious! Literally I packed all beach/pool day equipment plus baby essentials in here.

Answer:	I bought the kaki color. My boxspring white. So I did not see a problem. The fabric is like a t shirt.
