It's meant to be a high chair and it only has a lap belt; not the 3 point belt that goes over the shoulders. I would never leave a baby unattended for a second in this chair. It's a great little chair, though, if you watch them. Also, there would be no way to hang it since it's a solid molded piece with no holes.
