There are 2 level to ground lines on the shell of the seat used to determine proper angle for installation. For a child between 5 - 22 lbs the bottom level line on the shell must be parallel with the ground, having the seat fully reclined. For children 22 - 40 lbs who can sit up unassisted, you may rotate the seat between the two level lines for a more upright position. Answer:	Yes, it is the same as the original Graco booster seat meant to be used with the shoulder/lap seatbelt, but it has the added bonus of the latch straps so that it doesn't slide around. Any rental car will be current year and equipped with the latches. It is very easy to detach the latches. I have 2 in my van for my grandchildren and it takes a couple of seconds to detach them and put them in the back when traveling with adults in the 2nd row.

Answer:	Yikes! I had all 3 of my children in a 5 point rear facing until 2, and 5 point front facing latch until 5. A 10 month old is far too tiny for less than 5 point harness for many years, please choose safety not price.

Answer:	It is MUCH simpler to latch and unlatch than a normal harness car seat. Also, it is not absolutely necessary to use the latch system (I believe I read this in the instructions), because the latch system is just there to keep the booster in place when a child is not sitting in it with the seat belt on.
