Answer:	Not real soft. I bought these for my new grandson. He loved them cut all his teeth using these. Put couple in freezer, but most of the time he just wanted them just plain. He is now 17 months old and still plays with them. He puts them a toy truck and pushes them around. They are the right size and easy to hold for babies. They were a great buy.

Answer:	Yes, my baby has 6 months and she can play with it very well, however at this stage she likes to bit it.

Answer:	Yes, however they will take on water and the excess water will have to be squeezed out. To prevent bacterial growth, use a tablespoon or two of white distilled vinegar with a gallon of water for the washing solution, and be sure to squeeze as much water out after washing as possible. It is a GREAT toy and washing them will be necessary, but I found it to be easy!
