Other IR measurement devices, and I have one from Etekcity that's black and yellow is good for temps from -58F to 716F degrees per the label on it. That one just measured by stover burner at 408F, plus my fridge was 40F and freezer was +3F. This one is much better for humans and the etekcity is better for no humans. Answer:	We did not register ours as I find unless it is a very expensive item warrenties are not always cost effective. We have had ours for a number of months (5 to 6) and use this everyday to check both our temperatures due to the virus and it is very reliable and acurate.
