9 best anti gas for baby
Anti-gas remedies for babies are products designed to provide relief from colic and gas-related discomfort in infants. These products are formulated to alleviate symptoms associated with gas and promote the well-being of the baby. Here's what you need to know:
Colic and Gas Discomfort: Colic is a common condition in infants characterized by excessive crying and fussiness, often associated with gas and abdominal discomfort. Gas-related discomfort can result from the buildup of air in the baby's stomach or intestines during feeding or digestion.
Simethicone Drops: One of the most common types of anti-gas products for babies contains simethicone as the active ingredient. Simethicone is an over-the-counter medication that helps break down gas bubbles in the digestive tract, making it easier for the baby to pass gas and alleviate discomfort.
Liquid Form: Anti-gas remedies for babies are typically available in liquid form, often referred to as "gas drops" or "colic drops." These drops are easy to administer and can be given to the baby before or after feeding.
Dosage and Administration: The dosage instructions for anti-gas drops vary by product, so it's essential to follow the specific dosing guidelines provided on the product's packaging or as recommended by a healthcare professional. Drops are typically given orally, and some products can be mixed with breast milk or formula.
Effectiveness: Anti-gas drops containing simethicone are generally considered safe and may provide relief from gas-related discomfort in infants. However, their effectiveness can vary from baby to baby, and they may not work for all cases of colic or gas.
Other Measures: In addition to using anti-gas drops, parents and caregivers can try other methods to reduce colic and gas discomfort in babies. These may include burping the baby frequently during feedings, ensuring proper feeding techniques, and using special anti-colic bottles designed to reduce the intake of air during feeding.
Consulting a Pediatrician: If a baby continues to experience severe gas-related discomfort or excessive crying, it's essential to consult a pediatrician. Persistent symptoms may be due to underlying issues that require further evaluation and treatment.
Safety Considerations: While anti-gas drops are generally safe when used as directed, it's crucial to follow dosing instructions carefully. If you have any concerns about using anti-gas remedies for your baby, consult with a healthcare professional for guidance.
Product Selection: There are several brands and formulations of anti-gas drops available on the market. Parents may choose a product based on their baby's specific needs and any recommendations from their healthcare provider.
In summary, anti-gas remedies for babies, typically in the form of simethicone drops, are designed to provide relief from colic and gas-related discomfort in infants. They can be a helpful tool in managing gas-related issues, but it's important to use them as directed and consult with a healthcare professional if you have concerns about your baby's well-being.

Question: | Does this need to be refrigerated after opening |
Answer: | The double sided edge brush is made of boar soft bristles. |
Question: | When is the expedicion date |
Answer: | I would use it on a guinea pig. The bristles are really soft on this brush so it won’t pull the hair and hurt it. |
Question: | What's the difference of this one and Tummy Grip Water? It seems both are for gas relief |
Answer: | I don't see why it can't get somewhat wet...It is a wooden handle so submerging it frequently might not be in the brushes best interest. This is a very nice baby brush!! |
Question: | About how long does this last, if I was to buy 1 oz and use it daily |
Answer: | Idk but this brush is the softest brush ever it's amazing wish I had this for my first son |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is there a difference between the day and night versions |
Answer: | We are happy to send a new one. Please contact Customer Service for NeilMed by either emailing [email protected], or calling our toll-free phone number, 877-477-8633. |
Question: | Is this also for colics |
Answer: | Mine did not arrive with batteries, it also died shortly after 30 days, do not trust product to be shipped with any quality control - good luck on the batteries. |
Question: | The description says both night and day have ginger extract but the box on night doesn’t list it. Can you please clarify |
Answer: | I dont know if it has been modified. I probably wouldn't use in the shower as some people have... And I would probably consider what type of water you put in it.. they say to boil it so the machine doesn't get clogged with sediment. I could see that like any product it could have issues mechanically if it was dunked in water or dropped, etc. |
Question: | Where can I get just the nighttime bottle |
Answer: | I buy this regularly at Walgreens and like it. However many of the comments here are accurate. If you let it set too long it freezes up and won’t run. I think the salt in the solution is a culprit but I found freezing up was issue if it sat too long even cleaning with distilled water (no salt) on final clean after use. I would suggest just running a packet of salt through it every other day minimum even if you aren’t running into your sinuses. That should keep it from stopping. I candidly do not suggest you try to keep these for more than a few months before replacing with new. There is no way to look inside to inspect for bacteria or mold. I tried. Because of that i run vinegar through it 1 part to 3 distilled water. (Only use distilled water not tap water for any purpose). I do that every second week. Shoot into you hand but NOT into nose obviously when cleaning devise. Flush with 100% distilled after letting it sit for a minute or so. Then let it dry. About every month or so, I will substitute run a small amount of bleach 1 part to 6 parts distilled water through mechanism and again shoot into hand to clean. Immediately flush with 100 distilled water after. But after those efforts it is still best to get new one every 2-3 months. The cost of larger irrrigation devices might last a year but that covers the cost of 4 of these. The risk of it harboring bacteria and mold is too great. This cost is still lower than a copay for sinus infection. If periodically cleaned they will shoot far better than squeeze bottles. |

User questions & answers
Question: | What are the other methods to warm the pouch |
Answer: | Kevin, you can heat the Happi Tummi in other ways. You can warm the herbal pouch in an oven by preheating the oven to 200 degrees. Wrap an herbal pouch with a damp cloth and placing it in an oven safe dish. Place a cover over it to make sure that nothing can get burned. Warm for 5 to 10 minutes. Take out of the oven and place the herbal pouch in the Happi Tummi waistband. Test that the herbal pouch is not too warm before wrapping around your baby. |
Question: | how many use or duration does the herbal pouch can be use |
Answer: | The herbal pouch can last for up to a year with often daily use. We however recommend purchasing a replacement pouch every two to three months to gain maximum effectiveness. If the pouch begins to lose it’s fragrance, it is time to replace it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Does this have a strong flavor? We tried a store brand comparable to mommy’s bliss but my son gagged and threw it all up |
Answer: | This response is from RhinoSystems, the manufacturer of Naväge Nasal Care. Great question! The Naväge Nose Cleaner and Naväge SaltPods work together as a complete nasal hygiene system, and a genuine, new SaltPod is needed for each irrigation cycle. Naväge is designed for safety, effectiveness, purity, convenience, and affordability: Safety and Effectiveness: Having a correctly formulated nose rinse is the key to a great irrigation experience. Sensitive tissue lines the inside of the nose and exposing it to water that doesn’t have just the right amount of salt can cause painful burning and even injury. That’s the beauty of the Naväge SaltPod! Because it is precisely formulated, there’s no burning and stinging, just the refreshing experience that comes with moisturizing and flushing the nasal passages. Purity: Naväge SaltPod capsules contain two ingredients: salt and water. There are no drugs. The salt is pharmaceutical grade, containing 99.99% sodium chloride with zero additives and fillers. (For comparison, table salt is about 98% sodium chloride and 2% additives, including iodine, sodium aluminosilicate, magnesium carbonate and other impurities.) The water is purified with carbon filtration, double deionization, ultra-violet (UV) sterilization, and a sub-micron finishing filter. The result is super-pure H2O. Convenience: The SaltPod capsule contains saline concentrate – not salt crystals – and it mixes instantly. So there’s no more measuring; no more salt spills; no more mess. Just pop in a SaltPod and Naväge does the rest! Affordability: SaltPod capsules cost less than 33 cents each when purchased with a quantity discount. One-a-day use amounts to less than $10 per month for an easy to use, drug-free approach to improved nose-breathing and superior nasal health. You can contact us directly by calling (800) 203-6400 from 8:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m., M-F, Eastern Time. We’re here to help! Best regards, Brittany |
Question: | What is the difference between gripe water and gas relief drop |
Answer: | You have to make sure your water is safe so you should boil or use distilled water with all nasal wash products. I just don't like the whole late night infomercial pitch on the Navage. They advertise the product on their site for 59.95 but when you click to purchase it ads the required salt pod for another 15.00 so it's really 75.00. I want to be able to use whatever solution I want and not be locked into their expensive salt pod when there are many other solutions that are much better. The whole thing looks like a marketing campaign and they only offer a one year warranty. Other products offer multi year warranties and have more honest reviews. Found more honest looking reviews on the Navage here:tvstuffreviews.com/navage |
Question: | Where was this product made |
Answer: | Yes! The direction of flow is completely adjustable: left to right, or right to left. The nasal dock can be rotated 180 degrees in either direction. In fact, you can even change direction in the middle of an irrigation cycle. In other words, half-way through (after having used about 4 ounces) you can stop, rotate the nasal dock 180 degrees, and finish your irrigation cycle in the opposite direction. Also, please note that due to the nature of the coaxial nasal dock valve, the CLEAN (supply) saline is always CLEAN, and the dirty (effluent) saline is always dirty. |
Question: | How often does this need to need to be replaced |
Answer: | I purchased both the Navage & the Sinuplus as well. I am not as impressed with the Navage as I am with the Sinuplus. At first it was because you cannot use the Navage unless you use a new saline pod each time you use it, but after using the Sinuplus I think it does a better job and you can use your own saline solution. Now I just leave my last used pod in the Navage and use the unit to suck out excess water left in my sinuses. Big problem I see is if I ever run out of pods and open the top my Navage is usuless. To answer your question I guess you could stop the process before all the solution is used up and depress the on button and the vacuum would probably work. If I could only have one of what I have, I would choose the Sinuplus before the Navage. My Sinuplus has totally stopped my post nasal drip. I use it daily and would hate to be without it. |

User questions & answers
Question: | Is this hsa/fsa eligible |
Answer: | Nope. Label says to store at room temperature. |
Question: | Are the gas drops supposed to be chunky looking, like the texture |
Answer: | The last bottle I bought will expire in 12/2018. |
Question: | Does this have a shelf life |
Answer: | Actually, gripe water is sodium bicarbonate which helps more for upper gas, burps due to indigestion. These are intended for lower gas I the guts. |
Question: | Has the dropper been updated/improved yet?? Please date when you received your order |
Answer: | I am at way less half a bottle and I have a 2 month old. Honestly, if your baby is really gassy, or has colic you will need to buy another bottle like myself who’s newborn is both and I give her the drops after every feed but I tend to space them out every 3-4 hrs and basically 5 in a day. |
