Answer:	I would not use alcohol because babies put them in their mouths and the residue alcohol leaves is nasty. I just wash mine with soap and water, rinsing them well. You could do it with vinegar water as well as vinegar kills germs. They are not painted so colors don’t come off. Babies love these.

Answer:	I would say no. If you pull on the cloud shaped piece on the bottom of the cloud, it activates a rattle on the inside. And water would probably create mold on the inside of the moon's rattle.
