Question:	What is the size of the case? i want to make sure it fits in my utv glove box
Answer:	I actually do not remember because I bought it for my son -who drives semi's - but my husband thinks it is around 10x12 inches. hopes this helps..

Answer:	The handle itself seems to be aluminum, as it is non-ferrous. I removed the handle and for the size of metal is is fairly light. The business end of both tools are magnetic, so one can assume a carbon steel.
Question:	My kit came with no instructions. Should it have? I am somewhat familar with repair kits but want to be sure I am clear on how to use this one
Answer:	No. There is no need for instructions since the procedure is obvious. You use the awl with the twisted shaft to enlarge the hole after you have removed the nail or other item that punctured your tire. Then take the lubricant that is provided and lubricate the hole using the awl. After the hole has been lubricated You thread a fiber plug into the needled shaft and insert it into the puncture until half of the material is in the tire then twist the shaft one quarter turn and withdraw the shaft and cut the protruding material even with the surface of the tire with a razor blade and the repair should be complete.
Question:	Why is there a round looking thingy do on the needle? What purpose does it serve? My other many kids are just a straight shaft. It's just supposed to protect your hand or something
Answer:	I think its main purpose is to prevent you from inadvertently pushing the tire strip too far, which is possible with the length of the insertion needle. While it could also be meant to press against the plug while withdrawing the tool, I've never had the plug get pulled out upon removal. It has to be sufficiently lubed with the rubber cement, and when that's the case, it comes out easily without pulling the plug out.Accidentally pushing it too far and having the whole strip pushed into the tire is a more likely problem, so I'm always careful to brace my hand against the tire as I push the tire strip in. The round spacer would just make that easier, allowing you to push it all the way until it stops.

Question:	Does the tire have to be re-inflated before using the plug
Answer:	It's a lot easier to install in an inflated tire. If the tire is flat, the tire will push in away from you when trying to push the plug in.

Answer:	Well the liquid is a very temporary solution. I find a plug can last years. I have had one on a tire that’s gone about 15,000 miles. The slime is more of a quick fix the plug literally plugs the hole making it sound.

Answer:	I've repaired about 12 tires on "Class A" semi truck and trailer tires and not one has failed, grossing close to 80,000 lbs most of the time.
Question:	What's the difference between this model and the "BLACK JACK TIRE REPAIR KT-335" for slightly more
Answer:	The 335 is listed as a truck tire repair kit. It uses 6" length tools vs 4" on the car kit and the contents are slightly different. I'm not sure which I have (probably the 340) but I've used it on 35 and 60 inch tractor tires as well as Dodge Neon tires so far. Works fine http://www.blackjacktirerepair.com

Answer:	I have the same kit. Mine is made in china. But I will have to say the quality is ok.
Question:	Is this a permanent repair or just a temporary one, e.g. intended to get me to the tire shop
Answer:	I can only speak for myself - I use this to repair the puncture - If it holds, I don’t do anything else and drive as normal. No one can say it is permanent because of so many variables -where the puncture is, how large the hole is, on road/ off road, tire pressure etc. But generally this works fine on my F150 and my wife’s Expedition
Question:	Do these plugs require vulcanizing glue to form a seal with the tire
Answer:	I have plugged 5 tires with this kit, It does not come with glue it does come with lubricant, the first tire i have patched has lasted 7 months on the highway and off, This is a very good kit, the little galvinized tool is for threading inside the value stem or the threads on the outside, also attached is a recessed groove to stick in the value and unscrew the stem to replace it, Now that i think of it this has lasted me through the cold winter, This kit requires a tire full of air at least 25 pounds so that the sticky adhesive sticks can be pressurized against the hole
Question:	Does the glue on the plug adhere instantly, or, do you have to give drying time before restoring the tire to the proper preasure
Answer:	I have used tire repair kits for about 20 years, and can tell you, the glue is so tacky is seals instantly. Granted there will be a small drying period. There should be some air in tire because of the resistance needed to insert plug. Then just air to desired pressure.

STEP 1

Remove offending object from tire with included heavy duty pliers.

STEP 2

Use spiral reaming tool to enlarge punture.

STEP 3

Apply included lubricant to ease threading of cord and insertion into puncture area.

STEP 4

Use the pliers to remove a repair cord out the side of the plastic.

STEP 5

Thread repair cord into eye of insertion tool.

STEP 6

Use insertion tool to insert cord into puncture, leaving 1/2 inch of cord ends visible.

STEP 7

Slide the retaining platform untill against the tire. Hold the retaining platform against the tire while quickly and firmly pulling the T-Handle up leaving the plug in place.

STEP 8

Use the included knife to trim excess plug material and re-Inflate tire to recommended pressure.

Answer:	it's 12.4 x 8.3 x 2.5 inches.
Question:	Does the tire need to be removed from the vehicle in order to repair the tire with this kit
Answer:	The convenience of this tool is that the tire does not need to be removed. But if the puncture is in an area of the tire you can't access well, then you would obviously need to remove the wheel from the vehicle to be able to repair it.
Question:	Will this insert tool put a plug in tractor trailer tires
Answer:	It should, if the puncture isn't to large, I bought ORCISH 70pcs tire repair kit and repair a puncture made by a spike on a tandem truck tire and still good to this day, that was 6 months ago.
